How many of you guys think you are honestly and truthfully addicted to dance music? Insidious stuff isn’t it? We don’t know of another type of music that can infect you with a beat or a hook, and leave it in your head, while you wonder what that tune is called, then you go mental when you hear it again.
We love its unpredictability. We love that if you ask a queue with a hundred clubbers in it, their all time favourite dance music tune – you’ll get seventy or eighty answers at least. We love how you can swear blind the bloke next to you is giving you evils and doesn’t like you for some reason, and then a tune drops and you both punch the air and whoop with joy in unison and end up good mates by the end of the evening.
We love its power. We love it when you get goosebumps, and the hair stands up on the back of your neck, and though your just leaning at the bar, half listening to what your mates are saying, you begin to run out of room on your face to grin with. We love it when that next tune drops and you scream your approval into the air but nobody can hear it…… because they are all doing the same.
We love its message. We love how you have uncertainties and worries in life, but when you hear the first hook of a certain tune in a room full of people who feel the same, you forget about it all. Its sexy, its strong, its powerful, its cultured, its versatile, its diverse, its loving, its giving, its demanding, its intuitive, its clever; it’s a union thing.
