Hello,

My name is Alan Morrissey and I am the Events organiser for Anam Bar in Islington. We're a stylish, two-floor DJ/Cocktail bar near Angel tube(120 max capacity). Our music policy is very flexible, currently we are looking for an Alternative/Funky House night, a Latin-Funk/Disco-House Night or any night with a new and original angle.

We specifically want a promoter or self-promoting group/duo that already run an established night in London (and are hoping to start a night at a new venue). We need someone who can guarantee a base crowd of around 35-40 people for each event. You as the promoter can set the door charge (we usually charge £5 for a Friday night) and you take the money from the door, the more people you bring, the more money you make, providing an incentive to make the night a successful one (the last promoter took away £450, though we can take around £700 on the door on a busy night). I'd be interested in coming to see a night you run in town or arranging a trial night for you down here in the newxt few months.

Once a night has proven successful we can come to a more reasonable set fee, this approach is simply to eliminate the kind of promoters the owner doesn’t want taking over this night. Our venue is not a walk in bar and relies on bookings, reservations and a promoter capable of drawing in a crowd. If this is you or you wish to talk further please drop me a line.
