The Curiousity Club gets Persuaded!

Famous for their energy-filled house sets and with their residencies at Kidology and ElectronicSessions, The Persuaders are taking London by storm! We chat to this unstoppable DJ duo ahead of their headline set at The Curiousity Club on May 8th!

Info

Music : Jackin House, Electro House, Dirty House, Fidgit House and Tech House

The Curiousity Club is an event in London like no other! We take filthy, roof-raising house music from show-stopping DJs, a spicy twist of Burlesque entertainment and mix it with beautiful, friendly party people and an electric atmosphere, all served up in a unique underground club – making for an inimitable clubbing experience! Dress up to get down and join us for our special Masquerade Ball for a heady mix of decadence, debauchery and dirty beats.

On May 8th The Curiousity Club brings you our biggest line-up yet! Head honcho Lizzie Curious - who herself has been busy completing 4 vocals on Robbie Rivera’s forthcoming album and zooming around the country for her trademark filth-fuelled gigs – is joined by two special headliners: The Persuaders and Jack Michaels!

Famous for their full of energy sets, use of live effects and smooth mixing, The Persuaders have built up a massive following in the capital - it’s no surprise that they hold a residency for the well established brand ElectronicSessions. They are also UK/worldwide Kidology residents: when they debuted for Kidology at El Divino in Ibiza playing closing set the club stayed open an extra hour for them to carry on playing to the rapturous crowd!

Grin head honcho/resident Jack Michaels, purveyor of the finest bass-driven electro and techno, played for our launch party on 30th January and blew the crowd away with his jaw-dropping technical abilities and top notch crowd-rocking credentials. We can’t wait to have him back behind the decks at Curiousity Club especially as he had told us how much he loved playing at Curiousity Club! Triggerfunk DJs Chase & Kingy (TriggerFunk), Yiannis Balkizas (Summit Dirty) and Phil Draper complete this fantastic line-up.

The Lollipop Lounge will be on hand throughout the night entertaining you with unique performances, treats and an array of visually-stunning roaming entertainment to feast your eyes on. Watch out for the Curiousity Club Chicks, twisted (in more ways than one) performances from AlienZoo, plus more surprises on the night, including free CDs, sweets and plenty of smiles! And as if that’s not enough, we have buy one get one FREE on selected drinks till 11pm, plus all advance tickets purchased get a free lucky dip ticket, with prizes including champagne, ipod shuffles loaded with Lizzie Curious tracks, mix CDs, drinks tokens and plenty of other curious, burlesque-inspired gifts!

At each event more and more people seem to be inspired to dress up Burleseque style….think Moulin Rouge meets Human Traffic, ladies raving in corsets and stockings, fellahs with trilbys and ties…1940s/1950s vintage glamour…it’s all good and adds a real spice to the proceedings! As this is our Masquerade Ball, feel free to bring a mask with you to join in the craziness!

Feedback from our March 27th event:
"I have to say that Friday night was fantastic! It was great to see so many people dressed up again especially the people who got into the Alice in wonderland theme, the big rabbit was hilarious! As well as the music being great, I thought the whole vibe was wicked with a kind of subversive 1920's 30's feel to it, like loads of people sneaking into a small "Speak easy" during the great depression......quite apt due to the current credit crunch lol!"

"Thanks for a great night, everyone really enjoyed themselves, party bags were a great idea. As usual it was a fantastic atmosphere and lovely people that helped to make it such a fun night.
See you again soon."

"That was one of the best nights I've had in months"

"Been a long time since I have seen a friday night that good.....It's parties like The Curiousity Club that tell me there are still people out there who do it for the love of the music"

"We had so much fun and loved being involved. Have to say it was definately one of the nicest groups of people."

"Got to say I had a great night at the Curiousity Club. Tunes were wicked, some real good costumes - 'hats off' to everyone who dressed up; loved the venue, and a good friendly crowd.
Big thanks and hugs to Lizzie and all the Lollipop Lounge crew, you're doing a great job, you definitely get my support for the next one on may 8th."

What a fantastic night ! great people and the music rocked!!! Quite possibly the best atmosphere i have witnessed in like years!
