Fleeing the Turnmills nest for one very special night, the Together team head to Russell Square and the blooming marvellous delights of the Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes to present “The Big Lebowlski” on Thursday 15 February and one unmissable Valentines-Disco-Bowling-Mash-Up!!
Kitsch, cool and oh-so-quirky, the Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes really is a stunning venue, located under the Tavistock Hotel and themed entirely around 1950’s Americana. The BBL is one of London’s hippest hang outs to boot and the perfect place for Together to embark on a new adventure. Besides the 10 bowling lanes (games are only a fiver!), there’s also a delicious Diner to fill up your stomachs – which features the 2nd Best Burger in London (fact!) on the menu! On top of that there’s two karaoke rooms available for hire, Arcade Games, a Boutique Cinema – where we’ll be showing cult movies all night including The Big Lebowski (naturally!), plus a Swivel Bar that offers Real English Ale, altogether cheap booze and Together Cocktails (White Russians of course!)
Now, it wouldn’t be a proper Together party without all the silly stuff thrown in too, so to help things along in that department we’ll be bringing you all our favourite ‘extras’ including laughing gas, fancy dress (RED is the colour!), a Prize Raffle (with ace prizes up for grabs) and loads of Free stuff. Yippeeeeeeeeee!!
To help your bowling swing (or not as the case maybe!), Together has invited along some of our fave DJs to spin the evening’s entertainment. Topping the bill will be Together long-standing resident of joy; Justin Robertson. The dude in the hat certainly knows the faithful crowd better than most, and he’ll be on hand to rock out an eclectic mix of floor-fillers and bowling beauts!! Joining him will be Mex aka Black Grass – the Brighton legend signed to Catskills Records. Expect the finest in funk, soul, reggae and more as the acclaimed DJ/Producer makes the short trip up from the South Coast to spice things up!! Together’s DJ All-Stars, that’s The Scarlet Pimp Vs Mannequin Doll, 10:4 Rubber Duckie and Nikolas Esselle will also be getting their grubby little hands dirty on the decks with more of the same, plus the odd TV Theme tune and numerous 80’s classics thrown in for good measure!!
So having got all the mushy-lovey-dovey stuff out of the way the night before, it’s time to get loved-up all over again at Together’s ‘Love is in the Air / Valentine’s Special’. Couples, Lovers, Singletons, Nymphos are all welcome. Arrive early to book your lane!!
