The world’s biggest Hard Dance show is less than 2 weeks away and we are proud to announce Hard House Academy’s 9th Birthday Surprise International Guest as DJ Activator! The Italian legend and superstar DJ Activator aka Manuel Tessarollo makes his London debut on Saturday 17th October for this very special event so we caught up with him to find out a little more about him and what he has planned for us at the greatest show on earth!

1) When did you start DJing?

I started spinning the first records in the beginning of the 90's

2) When did you first go clubbing and where did you go?

It was in 1992 when I was 13 on Sunday afternoon in a club called Kiwi (the legend goes on) but it's closed now. It's very sad.

3) Holland is infamous for major festivals and large scale indoor events. For the UK readers can you choose one major indoor show and describe what it is like?

I love every kind of party in Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. The location is magic, not huge but not even small. It's always well decorated and the music is clear.

4) This is your first DJ set in London. Have you been to London before?

It's true! First time in London on each senses. I never visited the city either so I really can't wait for this!

5) The guys at Bionic in Wales sing your praises. What is Bionic like?

I think Bionic is one of the coolest hardstyle events in UK. I love playing for Bionic since the first time they booked me, no matter where the location is, the party is guarantee!

6) When is your next track going to be released?

In a couple of weeks I will release “Set you free” and “ Back in the days” taken from my album “Authentic style”.

7) What was your best gig of this summer?

I loved playing at Dance Valley in Holland, my performance was live, the atmosphere was great and the people reacted good. It was an amazing party.

8) What can we expect from your headline set at HHA?

Just expect the good Italian sound!

9) You get the opportunity to create your own Festival. Who is on the line up and why?

Only me all night long! I made more than 700 tracks in my career so I think they are enough for 6 hours DJ set.

10) What track never leaves your box?

It's hard to say, but everytime I got a gig in UK I always play Overdrive “Listen to the fat bass”

11) Can you mix on Vinyl?

Of course, I started with vinyls and I'm still spending time spinning some 90's music at home just for fun.

12) Do you use Traktor? Have you considered it?

I don't use it 'cause I feel comfortable playing CD's nowadays.

13) Is there anyone on the HHA line up you are going to check out?

I'm gonna check 'em all. You got always something to learn from the others.

14) We are coming around for Dinner. What is on the Menu?

Surprise me with something typical from London, I can't ask for some pasta outside Italy.

15) When you are not playing music what do you like to do?

When I'm not making music you can find me in bed...
