Backdrop returns @ Brixton Jamm on Friday 27/10/06 - SHY FX, BAD COMPANY, LANDLSIDE + more

This article is about Backdrop @ Brixton Jamm in London (UK), Fri 27 Oct 2006

After a summer break Backdrop return with an all-nighter on Friday 27 October, at a new venue, JAMM, 261 Brixton Road. A mix of drum and bass, hip hop, breaks, funk, and old skool will be played across two rooms. As ever all profits will be donated to children’s charity, The Kids Company.

Backdrop is being re-launched with the night’s most star studded line up yet. Drum and bass legend Shy FX is set to headline with his reggae skankin’ styles, Bad Company will represent with their harder techy sound, and scene veteran Futurebound will showcase his forthcoming album. DJ Fluid takes a break from his One Nation residency, and Landslide will drop by with the mellow sounds typical of his label, Hospital.

Everyone can email info@backdrop-breaks.co.uk in advance for £6 entry all night. Entry on the door will be £5 before 11pm, and £10 thereafter.

Promoter and resident DJ Vantage said:

“Like everything in life, club nights evolve. So, after two years of rocking the Telegraph Backdrop is moving to Jamm, where we’ll continue to showcase the best in drum and bass, hip hop and breaks, whilst staying true to our South London roots. Our come back line-up is big, but the party’s gonna be bigger!”
