TechnoTherapy +
Saturday, 11th April 2009 / JAMM, Brixton
Shoreditch’s most exciting party brand embarks on a wonderful journey south to celebrate it’s first
birthday party! The infamous brand hosted their first party at the notorious Pacha in Victoria. It
quickly became a house hold brand doing nights at Egg in Kings Cross, and again hosting huge
rooms for S!ck on the Dancefloor at SE1. TechnoTherapy completed their London club tour at Scala in Kings Cross when it hosted the VIP glass bar for Stephan Bodzin back in September 08! After an
amazing year, TechnoTherapy paid homage to the geographical home of quirk and took up
residency in a series of Shoreditch venues like ‘ex public toilette turn club’ - Public Life. Also, 54,
Aquarium and more recently… a few cheeky warehouses parties…wink wink!
Bringing the best underground talent from London’s musical spectrum and joining forces with South
London’s usual suspects, TechnoTherapy plans to bring an exuberant and quirky atmosphere to the people of the Sarf! Collaborating with London’s biggest underground brands like TWO AM, SICK
ON THE DANCEFLOOR, and Jimmi Crayon from the Infamous SECRET WARS. TechnoTherapy events
tend to strike attention from all corners of the London fraternity. With London’s coolest DJ’s, artists,
designers, fashion freeqs, and creative gurus – TechnoTherapy has found itself a brand new
playground to play in… what’s more is the party is absolutely free, so let’s JAMM !
TechnoTherapy night’s generally bring a healthy array of music, entertainment, art and a room full
of London’s trendiest kids all giving their ten pence worth with crazy fashions, hairstyles, sun glasses, make up and 80’s new rave dance moves! As we all know, Brixton is going from strength to strength in terms of quirk and trend, and has finally built up enough clout to give Shoreditch a run for its money! TechnoTherapy are going to bring Shoreditch’s finest kids down to show the Jamm just how the cookie crumbles!
Sarf London – as Dizzee Rascal would say ‘pull up your (tweed) sox and stand up tall!
Pushing things forward…
Jimi Crayon – Coming from the infamous Secret Wars click, and appearing in many
magazines and on many a street wall, Jimi has definitely made his mark in urban street
culture. The Shoreditch resident frequently battles other live artists representing his turf,
Shoreditch, and winning more battles then he’s lost! This amazing and embryonic street artist
will be throwing up live art on a blank canvas right before a captive audience. The context,
‘anything that springs to mind’, the duration – 2 hours! Arrive promptly to get a load of that!

Kanio – Britain’s best export, gaining the most Beatport number one’s in the year of 2008,
Edward Kane is set for big things! This pleasant kid from Surrey was noticed by
international record label Autist, and coincidently propelled into a huge techno star and
practically playing at gigs around the entire world. His music, very intelligent minimal
techno, with an edge sharp enough to cut any mustard.

Anti Social Ents. – Hailing from the sunshine streets of West London, this young savvy team
of musicians host room two with a freaky-deaky display of dark yet friendly, yet wrong, but
magnificent sound waves. The music is called Dubstep and has rapidly become one of the
trendiest genre this decade. You will also be pleased to know these lads were amongst the
group of unsung founders working with the likes of godfathers Skreem and Benga. This all
started back in the late nineteen nineties when Garage gave birth to two ugly kids, one
named Grime, the other named Dubstep. If you need a further de-brief, don’t be afraid to…
