A tad disappointed, then v v happy
So, I booked my ticket for this back in March...I was drawn in by Darren Emerson, GA (of course), Wally Lopez and Krafy Kuts, as well as all the other quality acts on the original bill

Let me say first of all I had a great night. Top music, great organisation and production, good venue for the acts on the bill, and a great feel good atmosphere throughout the club. Pats on the back all round.

GA room was heaving when i arrived at midnight, but I kinda expected that. Those guys know how to rock the shop, and as main act, they were bound to pull a big crowd. Never too keen on dancing on broken bottles, but you kinda expect it, neck a few Stellas, just adapt to the circumstances, and get yourself dancin and superstylin! Well done for putting on the night fellas - nice one. I think the boat party later this summer will be a more intimate affair...booking ticket asap.

Obviously i was gutted about the no show of Underwater Head Honcho Mr Emerson, but heard the sick bed was calling, so sent my greetings, took a paracetamol on his behalf, and went all 'born slippy'. Cried at the lack of Krafy Kuts (sigh) and Wally L (sigh sigh) ...however, what the f...decided to camp out in the Underwater room and have it...Steve Angello...WHO THE MAN!!! I've got most of this guy's productions, and can promise his skills on the 1210s/CDJs are absolute class...WALLOP...tune after tune after tune...check out this Swedish chef if you can...Tim Deluxe (the hair is getting extreme now) never disappoints, and finishing up, old fave Josh Wink pulled out some acid nasties/faves ;-) Pretty darned amazing!

My one final regret of the evening - I only got to see Breakin Bread whilst in the queue for my coat right at the end...and was gutted i'd not nipped downstairs earlier. Will be keen to check these quality guys out at Rhythm Factory soon.

Wouldn't normally pay £20 for a clubbing night out, nor go to a whopping great venue like Canvas, but this was well worth the admission and i, and all with me had a blinder. All good GA/Cement DJs...top stuff...this is what Underground house is about - more please.

See you at Underwater @ The End soon

Ta,

Brucey

PS: Wally would have turned a 10/10 into an 11 ;-)

Agree about Tim Deluxe and Josh Wink - amazing. We danced out on the terrace all night to the Underwater set. GA rocked the joint - when they put Strings of Life on I thought Canvas was going to explode! A totally amazing night, well worth the money. Bring on Lovebox! Oh - and am totally going to check out Underwater at the End. Now, where can I get a CD of Sunday night - do you think they recorded it?

Didn't realise how big Canvas was until we were leaving - bloody huge. Those Underwater guys rocked - Liked being able to dance on the terrace outside with the music still being a good volume.

Best song of the night? Probably Metallica 'Enter Sandman' over that classic Morillo song with the voice saying 'but i've got the pills'. Gold

When is the Underwater night at the End??

Next Underwater night is the 25th June with Darren Emerson and Sharem Jay, though that could change, I think that just happens to be the same day as Basement Jaxx in Hyde Park and Groove Armada on the boat too!!

Underwater room was rockin' all night and you're right Canvas is a huge place, haven't been there since going for Trance and Hard House nights in the late 90s (oh dear showing my age!), like what's been done to the place.

A Superb way to spend a bank holiday weekend!
