Dj Fingers telling the tale of Just4Mick

This ones means a lot to me and is very close to my heart so ill start from the begining:

I've known Justmick for quite a while now and have known he's not been feeling to clever since before crimbo last year. After many trips to hospital and his docs over the months they finally told him it was Lung Cancer. As soon as he told me I went round for a cuppa to have a good chat with him to show him I was there for him then, now & always. Micky is a very stong person and I know he would never bow down to nobody or anything not even Cancer and I know he will fight this fucker all the way.

While I was there I was thinking what would be the best way to help out without fussing round and making mick feel down about things. He never asked for any help but I could see he could'nt work so the only thing for it was for me to raise him up a few quid to help ease the pressure of not working, at that very moment Just4Mick was born.

After a ring around the house's I could see the support for Micky boy was very strong so I set about finding a venue to house us. After a chat with Nikki from Canvas the date 12th May was booked in. Then it came to sort out the line up, as Micky was on Passion Fm for years before joining Mint Fm I knew he had close mates there so the first port of call was to invite Dj Philgood and the passion Fm crew to come join Myself, Brandon Block, Alex P & some of our Lads from Mint Fm to make this one nice and personal for Mick. Then I asked our friend Tony from Res Laser to help out and wack in the biggest laser he had to hand to light up the dancefloor. Just to make sure this one went off with a bang I pulled in Peppermints Resident dancers Terri & Mickee and Peppermints Resident percussionist Bongo Ben. Last but not least I called in a favour with my good friends @ Funklife records and squeezed a Live P.A from thier newest signing Melanie Weston out of them , Now the stage was set for what promised to be a wicked little night for one of my best mukka's.

That brings us nicely to the night its self, This night was'nt as busy as we would of liked but the vibe, love and support for JustMick in the club was like nothing I've ever seen before, fucking awsome to be perfectly honest with you all. We never opened Room 2 in the end and had all the DJ's From Mint & Passion playing side by side in the main room, and may I just say the music was second to none and its safe to say everyone did Micky proud.

The night was an emotional affair and was full of like minded people with every single one of us putting our differences behind us, in one way or another we was all there for Justmick to help him at this time of need. You came, You danced and as the pic below clearly shows you fucking had it proper for Justmick to show him he's not alone and even his wife Cath (Below) was blown away......

In total just under £3000 was raised which Me & the wife Sarah dropped round to Justmick Sunday luchtime. This is just the begining of Peppermint Parties efforts to help Micky out and as long as i've got a hole in my arse I will keep going until he wins his fight against Cancer.
Like I said this one is very personal to me and Im there all the way with you Micky, it aint for Thanks or anything else its cause you are and always will be my Friend. Love ya bro im rooting for ya......
