Mastermind Records is back hitting Epsom @ the newly refurbished Chicago's. We have now fully confirmed the top 20 hit selling artists SHY FX & STAMINA MC to headline our launch party. We brought Epsom DJ Friction & IC3 at out last night in Chicago's which was a complete success and we've been getting constant emails and messages asking when our next one will be. Since then Mastermind Records have been touring nights all over the U.K ranging from Southampton to Norwich and now we're back!!! Bringing you the launch of our new brand Mastermindz! We have brought down some of the biggest world-wide Drum and Bass artists to our events pounding out of a resident 20 K sound rig. Now we're in Epsom and here to stay hosting our regular event. Thats right this is going to be a continuing event!! With the likes of Mampi Swift, Dillinja, Friction, Grooverider, Adam F, Original Sin, Simon Bassline Smith, EZ Rollers and TC to name but a few on our previous nights, one thing it's for certain, we don't mess about and our line up are sure to get bigger and better everytime!! Other attractions brought down to our events include, Full Stage Set Up, Intelligent Lighting, Lazers, Banners, Smoke Machines, Strobe Lights and Live Musicians. So don't think this will be your normal night out in Chicago's! People will be traveling all across Surrey and South London to reach our launch. I know I would. Shy Fx is one of the most respected producers and label owners in the Drum and bass scene. As we all know he is a hit making machine, with countless releases under his name such as top 20 single Shake your Body, Original Nutta and Feelings to name but a few. But what makes him even more appealing is that his DJing skills are second to none and he is surely one of the most groundbreaking artists to gather commercial success. He is a legend in his own right and we are proud to announce that he will performing on center stage at our Mastermindz Launch night.

? Shy Fx Biography ?
Andre Williams, AKA Shy FX, first catapulted in to the public’s consciousness with his seminal 1994 jungle anthem ‘Original Nuttah’ (S.O.U.R) with UK Apache.
As a true innovator of the, then, new underground British sound, Shy FX helped form and shape the drum ‘n bass scene, alongside names like Goldie, Grooverider, Roni Size & Dillinja.
The north Londoner has been continually proving himself a mastermind at fusing underground cool with commercial success ever since.
Whether it’s his international DJ career, countless drum n bass club hits or infectious top 40 chart smashes -‘Shake Ur Body’ (EMI), ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ (Warners), ‘Feelin U’ (Warners)- Shy FX has led the way in terms of popular, credible British music.
Shy FX was just 16-years-young when his UK Apache-featuring, ragga-infused ‘Original Nuttah’ hit wormed its way out of underground jungle raves and on to primetime radio waves.
The track remains a sure-fire floor-filler across clubs worldwide and still the most-requested drum n bass tune to this day.
Since its incarnation, Shy has gone on to tear up international dance floors with his slick DJ skills and share studio space with the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Elephant Man and Kano.
More recently the polite producer/DJ - nicknamed Shy at school- has been working on his highly anticipated, second solo album, as yet untitled.
Respected by his peers for his down-to-earth persona and hard-working attitude, Shy FX is, thankfully, one music industry figure you won’t find bragging about his achievements.
Whether it’s discussing the historical drum n bass label Ebony and Ivory he set up in his teens with its notable release ‘Bambaata’, his current-day, groundbreaking label Digital Soundboy,
his critically-applauded albums with long-term collaborator T-Power; ‘Set It Off’ (Warners 2002) and ‘Diary Of A Digital Soundboy’ (DSB 2005)
or his ever-popular Digital Soundboy Podcasts on iTunes, Shy FX remains humble.
And when it comes to drum n bass, he stays loyal.
13 years deep in to his career, Shy FX continues to ignite dance floors from Israel to Cuba, Japan, Russia, America and beyond with his eclectic, soulful, jazz-infused jungle, hip hop and dance.
As his hit-making talents are properly recognised on an international level, Shy FX is most definitely one name not going anywhere for the long haul.

Fiercely underground, yet commercially successful. He built his reputation on his combined talents as an MC capable of competing with the rapid-fire lyricists that dominated the scene and as an accomplished singer. Stamina was thrust into the limelight with his vocal version of DJ Marky & XRS’ ‘LK’ (It's the Way) which hit the top 20 charts and led to an appearance on Top of the Pops, he hit the charts again after adding his vocals to D.Kay & Epsilon’s ‘Barcelona’. Both Massive tunes we all know. The years that followed lead to him to playing at some of the most well-known festivals in the world. Stamina MC is, a DJs MC - no shouting, but an ability to compliment any tune in any way - rapping ragga lyrics, rhyming and singing, even talking to the crowd - Stamina is a natural at building a rapport with an audience as well as concentrating on what he is saying and how the crowd is reacting. Currently he is the MC of choice for both DJ Marky and Shy FX, he is an incredible host and we are looking forward to his live performance!

One of Ram and Frequency Recordings latest signings. Bashers skills have been received world-wide and has made his mark on the mainstage. With a back log of solid releases and forthcoming tracks this artist definitely puts on a good show and we got the right speaker system for it! Need I say more, looking forward to this one!

Verdict is a busy DJ and upcoming producer who is consistently working hard in the scene. He has gathered years of experience having DJ'd in clubs across the U.K. This has lead to him working alongside some of the most respected names in the industry to crowds of over 1500 people. He has proven time again that we can all depend on him to always leave you wanting more, this guy is one to watch out for. Watch this space.
