our family day out!!!
My fiance, my daughter sasha (dj little boo) and myself all went to sw4. we got to the cue about 11:30 where and cool group started a whistle competition with sasha. we ended up not moving till 12:30 cos the doors didnt open (that was the only crap thing about the whole day.) when we got in we made straight for the bogs, they we clean and had bog roll in most of them and stayed pretty clean throughout the event BIG THUMBS UP.
after that we looked round the shops not a bad selection but my daughter loved the cyberdog stall and ended up buying loads of stuff from it ( it cost me a packet)
then on to the dancing.
We started off in the harder faster tent and spent quite alot of time in that. music was good and the people in there where freindly.
When Pete tong got on the decks on the main stage we all made our way to the front. everyone was really freindly and all took a liking to my daughter, she was so exited to be at the front and loved every minute, tongy played a smashin set playing a couple of tunes that my daughter liked which made her go mental (axwell i found you being one of them) but due to her age (she is only 6) and the heat we only stayed there for about half hour before having a break where we meet an ace couple who where so chatty and easy to get on with, we exchanged numbers and then onto see DJ sasha.
Now my daughter was named after Dj sasha and this was the DJ she was most looking forward to see. we got to the front, right in front of him and my daughter went mental, she kept shouting "go on sasha" as loud as she could and waving her hands franticly, DJ sasha did notice her and waved back which totally made her whole day. DJ sasha did himself proud and played a blinder making the crownd go nuts.
after another quick break onto see a bit of ferry corsten who also proper rocked it, little sasha had her glowsticks out and we all lost the plot to the end of his set, sasha was lucky enough to meet ferry corsten who was really freindly (another of sashas highlights) and we got a photo of them together.
Last but not least we ran to catch the last piece of paul van dyk. of what we heard he was amazing and the crowd were so up for it, the live vocals and pyro finished the night of with a big bang.
All in all one of the best festivals i have ever been too. it was well planned, well layed out, the toilets were clean all the time, all the people crowd and workers there where amazing and all really freindly.
we had alot of stick from people on DSI for me taking my daughter because people thought it was the wrong enviroment to take someone so young.
I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT EVEN THOUGH NOT EVERYONE THAT SPOKE TO US WAS STRAIGHT EVERYONE ACTED VERY VERY RESPONSIBLY INFRONT OF MY DAUGHTER AND ALL WHERE VERY POLITE ASWELL. EVERYONE SAID THAT WE WERE WICKED PARENTS AND THAT WHAT WE WHERE DOING WAS AMAZING. IT WILL BE SOMEWHERE I WILL BE TAKING HER AGAIN NEXT YEAR, SHE HAD SAID HERSELF ON THE WAY HOME IT WAS THE BEST DAY SHES EVER HAD.
SW4 should give themselves a big pat on the back for pullin off such a good event, and the same goes for everyone that we met that day (you know who you all are), you all made a little girls big day out very special. THANKYOU!!
