Music : Hard House, Hardstyle, Hard Trance, Trance and Psy-Trance

March sees something a little different happening with the musical progression at Puzzle Project in that there will be a bare minimum of generic hard dance. Shocking, we know, but we do urge you not to panic, and to remain calm… Throughout the night we will be showcasing sounds that have influenced each of our residents over the years, and helped us stand out from the rest.

The highlight of the night is going to be a truly mesmerising journey into the world of psy-trance, and were proud to announce the Puzzle debut of a true hero of the field, owner of one of the most respected (and long serving) psy-trance labels, and a true legend; John Phantasm! Many will be more familiar with his son Eskimo, but for those in the know, and for fans of pure, unadulterated psy, Mr Phantasm is just as big a deal, if not more so. Also on psy duties is resident Phil Lankester who will be performing a long awaited back to back set with a young producer who has already been tipped for the top by many a respected industry name, Ashley James.

In the breaks corner we have Brixton favourite, and London legend Jim Wild who has been busy in the studio over the last couple of years perfecting his clinical production style. As well as Jim we have System Vibrate playing live… some may be more familiar with these guys as Pendragon regular headliner Pete Wigley, and Andy Thomas (formally of Uranium Experience). To say we’re excited about their experimental fusion of breaks, electro and techno would be an understatement…

Ali Cantor, who is well known in Brighton and played at the infamous Yes! in London will be firing out those trancier beats with our very own trance supreme, Matt Church. Ben Bennett, our #1 trouble maker will be edging more towards the trance sound with a very special set, while Gordon Darley treats us to a chunky techno-led workout.

So with festival season that little bit to far away, why not pop into Puzzle to get your fix of the best underground music!!
