MAXIMAL HOUSE I BREAKS I ELECTRO I TECHNO
After a rocking The Cross with their final show stopping residency party back in December 2007, Maximal, London’s phattest Friday night is back - and back with a vengeance!
A new year and a new home for the Maximal crew as we take over long-running club Aquarium on Old Street. We’re exploding on to the 2008 scene on Friday the 1st of February and then again on the 15th, twice a month, every month – and we couldn’t ask for a better venue. Two dancefloors, a chill-out room and a swimming pool and Jacuzzi to wet your appetite. Recently refurbished, this place has been labelled the Disneyland of clubbing, and is not to be missed.
Headlining on the 15th we have the aristocrats of electronica, Rocky & Diesel, otherwise known as X-Press 2, and old school house-freak and Boy’s Own Terry Farley (Faith). Other DJs on the night include Clint Lee (Zombies Ate My Brain), Carl Alexandro, Felipe K, Si Scirocco and The Hustle. We also have guests Summertime Global taking over the second rooms with the promise of some twisted techno and breaks.
The New Year also brings new changes to our Maximal resident line-up, with longstanding resident DJ’s Filth & Splendour being joined by new residents and Maximal favorites Low & Murphy. Think twitchy, glitchy, driving techno crossed with manic, smutty electro-rave, and this is the result. They’ll be DJing alongside our DJ’s at both events, and all events throughout the year.
With London’s super-clubs closing and being knocked down, clubbing as we know it is changing. Maximal is the future. You haven’t partied if you haven’t partied with Maximal.
