Joey needing no formal introduction at all - welcome: how have you been this year so far, and have you been taking advantage of the incoming Sunshine we are being blessed with!?

"Hello there!
The 1st half of 2009 has been amazing. Lethal theory is going from strength, our new sister label Lethal theory Raw has just launched concentrating on new talent. Me and the boys are have been nominated for 15 awards this year and as I do this interview I’m preparing to jet off to California and Arizona for the 2nd time this year, next month I’m off to OZ so things couldn’t be sweeter!
I’ve not had a minute to get out of the studio to enjoy the sunshine here in the UK but I’m sure I will when I head overseas."

I needn't really ask how busy you have been so far, personally seeing you out at events I have been to then seeing your name all over the place up and down the U.K.! Could you please tell us about any events that have really stuck out for you and left an impression?

"The Hardcore Heaven weekender once again hit a home run. This year was unreal, one of the best yet. The atmosphere was unreal for the whole time I was there. Was more like the hardcore week for me though! I got there on Wednesday and left on Monday! Ooft!
Other great events for me have been Transmission and the Cali and Arizona gigs I had in February."

You have just recently announced your news of playing out in the good ol U.S of A! can you please tell us more about this giant venture once again?:

"As mentioned previously I’m off to Cali and AZ for the 2nd time this year. I got a great reaction when I was out there in February and the promoters were keen to get me back out sharpish! The lethal theory sound is huge out there and I just love the ravers and the hospitality and friendliness of the people in general."

How are you feeling ahead of this pending Summit? - Always a top party night and atmosphere! - Can you throw us any words of encouragement to rally the London raving core to the dance floor!?

"This will be my 1st time playing at Summit so I’m really excited! I’ll be giving it my all as I do at every party so make sure you get yourselves down for what promises to be an awesome night!"

You are obviously constantly busy in the studio; will you have many exclusive cuts to treat the Summit crew with? Also are there any tunes that you are at liberty to talk about...? *as long as it doesn't mean killing us afterwards...!;)

"Non stop in the studio at the moment. Both me and Kurt have opened our studios to the public to help new producers and DJs get a record released. That’s why we started our RAW label to help push new talent. The response has been great and there has been some amazing tracks made with the new guns!
On a personal note I have been collaborating with a lot of big names in our scene and I’m chuffed to bits with the results.
I’ve made tracks with Sy, Recon, Squad E, Seduction, Kev Energy, Whizzkid, Storm, Wotsee, Static and will be hopefully doing more work soon with Marc Smith, Gammer and Kurt.
Got a few new tracks that I’ve made on my own too that will be getting blasted out at Summit".

Favourite food before going off to a gig? Favourite food on the wind down after *if any

"I like to go out for a nice meal before gigging if I can. I love Italian food.
If I’m hungry on the way home then it’s a chicken shish kebab or something crap from the services!"

You have recently worked with the highly talented, late MC YT who tragically passed away not so long ago. Word has it that you are writing a track in dedication whilst also featuring the legend! Top stuff can you please tell us a little more surrounding this please!? : )

"This came as a huge shock to me as I’m sure it did too many others. Robert was a great guy, I had a lot of time for him and he also had so much potential. His recent gig with me at the mud club in Bognor was awesome and the guy done an amazing job. It’s heartbreaking to see a guy who loved life and had so much passion for the scene pass away.
Making a track with his vocals is the least I can do to honour his memory. Mike Vapour and Jo had the idea and when they asked me I thought it was a very fitting thing to do."

Can we expect any harder beats that you have also become recognised for in your sets!?-Will there be any G A B B E R on display!?;)

"For sure, if the crowd can take it! I always try to read the crowd and tease some harder tracks into my sets if they can handle it; I keep cranking it up a notch!"
