How are you, and how have you been so far on the buildup top the next Summit in the wings?...

“Bonjourno! I’m Very, very excited about Summit. After all the waiting I can’t believe it is finally here! (flutterbys!!)
I always enjoy a good night of Summit Hard and Fast! Looking forward to all of the DJ performances and MC Lyrical making a tit out of himself!!!! EEEEeeeeeee!!!!!! Lol”

This is your FIRST EVER D.J set!!!! - You have kept your light well and truly hidden under the bushel!!! - Please tell us how you came into wanting to mix, and when did you start learning!?:)

“Ahh see this will be my 2nd set, but my first ever set in London. I didn’t know anything about mixing and Djing until I met Mr. Skinner back in 2002. I thought all DJ’s were like the ones you get at your Nan’s retirement party! Soon after meeting Ben and his crew I purposely destroyed My CD player in order for my parents to let me have my savings so I could buy a pair of Numark’s TT1650’s, this is when I became Miss Wicket! A little drum n Bass girl at 14, all my school mates thought I was well bo-shank!!!!! Soon after getting the beat matching under my belt I DJ’d at a under 18’s night called Frequency hosted by the one and only Benny! Lol! “

How long have you been into hardcore - and can you please tell us a little bit about how you became involved in the scene!!?:)

“It all began when I was 11 and my older sister and her bezzy mate next door blaring out Bonkers No.3 all day, every day. At first I didn’t really get the fast crazy beats as I was into Spice Girls and Cleopatra (lol) but I liked it!! Hixxy’s CD soon went missing and ended up in my walkman which followed me everywhere I went! I have to say a big thanks and a massive POW to my sister Gemma for introducing me to this life, I wouldn’t have met Ben and the crew without you.” LYx

What style of hardcore can the Summit crew expect to hear from your set on Saturday!?

“A real underground Freeform sound with hard driving bass lines and a euphoric twist. Expect no cheesy chipmunts from me! All the vocals are artistically sweet! :D My set will be uploaded to the Summit DSI group after the event and demos will be available on the night. Hope you like my style.”

You are with the main man himself - Ben Skinner, now I couldn't really think of a better teacher when it comes to mixing!!!! - Has he helped you the most in terms of learning and are you adopting his 'smash the mixer right up' approach when you play your sets!!?;)

“Ben has showed me the ropes and watching him over the years I have learnt a lot from him as he is definitely one of the most unique DJ’s out there. I can respectfully say that I have adapted my own style and there will hopefully be a time when Ben will be looking up to me!!! I won’t be smashing it; I’ll be ripping it apart!!!”

A little birdie tells us it's your birthday sooon, can share some more info with us please!??...

“The birdie was wrong!! J It’s not my birthday to come it is in fact Summit’s 4th birthday in November. The Summit HQ have been discussing big plans, it’s gonna be one big celebration that’s for sure…. Watch this space Summit ravers!”

Your / or - ONE of your GREATEST Summit memories so far....(Feel free to share a couple or more!!);): )

“OOOOoooooo so so many to share!!! Not missing 1 Summit I have a box full of memories to keep. My greatest one so far would have to be when Summit first hosted Hardcore at Hidden launching Summit Above 160. It is still today the most talked about Summit event ever. The night was top class, with a wkd vibe and I got to meet Brisk who is one of my all time favorite heroes of the scene. I’ll never forget the time Jordon aka Spenno asked me to present his lovely lady Kaz with a birthday cake on stage while he sang Happy Birthday. Brisk was next on the decs and when lighting the candles Brisk thought the cake was for him! It was Brisk’s birthday too!!!! Ben wont appreciate me adding this but there is a cracking photo of Brisk showing Ben how to use his own mixer! Brisk tampered with the mixer and it caused a minutes silence in the club, it was an embarrassing moment for Ben but they both had a good laugh about it as well as the crowd! I will definitely not let Ben forget that moment lightly!”

Favorite drink when in Club Life..?!!: )

“I start with an elegant Corona and Lime then heading swiftly to the Pint size direction! I do love my beer I do!!! Bruuuuup!” :D

Can you please tell us - about any favorite foods that you indulge in before a party? / Anything after the party when you get home...?

“Steak and Kidney Puddings in a tin rule! Quick and easy for a girl in preparation for the night! But my favorite food for afters has to be the left over lasagna! - Why does Lasagna always taste better the day after!?”

“Tip top tip – Don’t attempt to make soup and a cup of tea at the same time while drunk, you may mistake the kettle for a saucepan and start a fire!!!! I didn’t do this………!!!!!!!!!!”

What advice would you give to any up and coming fellow female D.J out there, trying to cut a break!?

“Be unique and original; find your own style of music and mixing. I mean who wants to be the same as everyone else? There aren’t many female Hardcore DJ’s out there on the scene and it would be good to see allot more! “

Ben Ten or Fairy Odd Parents!?;)

“I have never seen any of them but I am going to say Ben Ten. Hasn’t he got some cool weird watch thing that does something crazy like!?!!!”

Favorite track currently in your C.D wallet??...

“It has to be Don’t Leave Me Alone a classic Nu Energy Freeform track. This will be played in my set at Summit.”

Badger or Giraffe - why?;)

“Put your hands together for the Gadger, Badger with a giraffes head!!! The fucker will no longer get run over! Has to be a Badger though, We have adopted a Badger and named him Timmus (Summit spelt backwards!!!). We have a certificate and everything!! We hope he is still alive and not been eaten by crazy rabbit-squirrels!! Yarp!”

On that note of animal magic! - We have to sadly make a groove & move with ping, pong - POW!!!! - I'm off to get some breakfast and then work...JUST before we go...Could you please leave us with some Miss Wicket words of hardcore wisdom, and also some words of enthusiasm to rally the Summit crew to the dance floor on Saturday!!!!?;);)

"Once again this Summit night is looking to be a road block event. All the performers have been picked for their quality and enthusiasm both on and off the deks. This will definitely be one night to remember as DJ supreme will be making his first London appearance for a very long time, a set not to be missed that’s for sure."
