Ballistic Beats - push with new style, entertainment across the board when the opportunity presents its self.

We have already proudly introduced DNA as a collective with the boss who is Candy Floss! - Many of us at raves ville are familiar with Dion, another top performer from the DNA dance crew!

Taking care of all their online facilities and when it comes to the live stage shows - he KNOWS which way to roll…

DNA rapidly growing and now one of London’s recognised and self established dance organisations, we wanted to catch up with the inside vibe, of what is coming when DNA go live! - So here it is ahead of Ballistic Beats - London Vs South Coast, Dion brings us up to dance speed with his right direction!

Hello bro, thank you for joining us today! - How has your 2009 been so far, and how busy have you been up until now?

"Hey mate, thanks for having me!!! 2009 has been all go since the countdown last NYE!!! From being on stage at IBIZA UNDERGROUND feat. Heavyweight House @ The Coronet all the way up until now!!! It’s always go, go, go!!! Dancing, promoting, advertising & all the usual business stuff (the boring bits haha!!!)"

Good stuff! - Could you please enlighten us a little more… How long have you been dancing and how did you first get into it and also fall in with D.N.A?

"Well, I’ve actually only been dancing since I first started with DNA back in March 2008. The lovely ladies spotted me in the crowd at Epidemik’s Good Friday Feeling (the last event at Ministry of Sound). I was just dancing away, like you do at these things & I kept noticing watching, pointing & whispering bewteen some of the dancers.....a bit more into the night, I was approached by two of the ladies on separate occassions who came off the stage during their sets to have a chat & dance with me. One asked me “Are you a professional dancer?” & there’s me replying “Nope”
All that followed after was “Do you wanna be?” & that was that!!! Later on at the event when DNA was all finished doing their thang, they came over to me before leaving & took my number, etc.....
.....a couple of weeks later, I was dancing at my first event with that being A Decade Of Dance @ Factory (now Club Life) on 25th April!!!
We all just hit it off straight away & became a WICKED bunch of friends doing something we all LOVE!!!"

Do you as a dancer have a preferred music genre to dance to - D.N.A hosting MANY different sounds;)

"It’s a good thing when there’s a GREAT beat with some PUMPING bass!!! I LOVE my Old Skool!!! (Most peeps will know this through how much I like Epidemik (you throw TOP nights Grant =D)) I like a variety though, I’m a bit of a music freak!!! Gimme some Dirty & Electro House (IBIZA UNDERGROUND!!! Gotta LUV it!!!), then there’s Hard House, Psy-Trance, Drum’n’Bass.....WICKED stuff!!! Hardcore will ALWAYS be apart of me though as that was my thing when I first started going to raves.
This is one thing a few of us DNA’ers have in common, we all started off Hard, we LOVE it Hard" ;)

You have now danced at many Ballistic Beats events! - What do you like about Ballistic and what sets them apart from other parties?

"What can’t you like about Ballistic Beats"?!

"The BANGIN’ non-stop tunes, the crowd are probably one of the best to dance in front off as there’s ALWAYS a GREAT vibe going on & it’s run by some TOP guys who know what they’re doing!!!"

Do you all as a collective pre plan multiple dance moves together?

"This is actually a question we get asked quite often.....no we don’t.....where we’ve danced with each other on so many occasions, we know how each other work. We all go out there with no plans in mind & we can make everything flow together out of no where!!!"

Do you have a favourite food which you like to have before/ after an event?;)

"CHICKEN!!! It’s always our choice, before & after.....gotta keep those protein levels up when you’re dancing!!!"

Has D.N.A been up to anything exciting this year - you can share with us….?

"Here at DNA we’ve had plenty of events in our hands from more residences at some GREAT events & venues plus the additions of more very talented performers!!!
We’re also in the process of having our website built – it’s looking FAB!!! Be sure to keep checking out - www.DNA-Live.co.uk for when it goes live!!! We’re VERY excited!!!!

What words of advice can you offer another inspiring dancer wanting to break through?

"The main thing I’d say, is just BE YOURSELF!!! Stay confident in yourself & don’t let the nerves get the best of you!!! If you get an opportunity, TAKE IT!!! If you feel it’s the right time, GO FOR IT!!!"

Do you drink alcohol on the job?- If so what tipple?;)

"On the job, NO!!! Gotta keep hydrated!!! BRING ON THE WATER!!! May be up for a drink afterwards though, Vodka & Lemonade please.....make it a double!!!"

Can u offer us an words of D.N.A encouragement to the Ballistic crew to get them to the dance floor…?

"It’s YOUR event so YOU should be in the spotlight!!! Jump up on the stage & podiums with us!!! We’ll getcha moving!!!"
