That is very sad to hear...I am sorry for Mickey too...mayby he just tried too hard to kick something off too early and did not think it through properly...really sad...but no excuse not to pay the dancers after putting them through this...Mickey, maybe you can do something here.... :-( !!!!!!

I agree that the way you were treated was unfair and could of been dealt with alot differently... but asa DJ trying to discuss something like this while your DJing isnt the best plan of action either hun!!! You could of waited till he had finished his set before speaking with him about this as you may of got a different reaction and outcome from Mickey...

Its only sunday remember and the party only happened last night!!! You could of sent a pm, text or rang him to tell him you were disgusted with his treatment of you and fellow dancer(s) Im not trying to condone what he has done is right but as a promoter putting on future events im sure it would of been better to tell him before what he had done wrong to allow him to not let it happen again in the future!!! Promoters only want to make their nights successful!!!!

I would like to see Mickey's response to this... im sitting on the fence on this one as I understand what may of been going on as he was promoting and its always stressful especially if it is your first promotion!!!!

BUT

I also feel for the way you were treated Funky Diva!!! No DJ, Dancer or any other person helping with the promotion/night should have to handle working under conditions such as you have described in your post!!!!!

You have a good point hooper, I myself know of dj's who get very upset when interupted, personally it dont bother me to much, but not everyone is like me.

Now, i dont want to go against the grain here (or be publicly burnt), but Ive been dealing with Micky for over a year and he has been nothing but a good customer to me. And a thoroughly nice bloke!

All promoters have a bad night - financially - and that can really stress people out. Personally, I would of spoken to him - whats to say he wouldnt of offered you another gig getting paid proper? I doubt he will now.....
