Good point.

Now, i dont want to go against the grain here (or be publicly burnt), but Ive been dealing with Micky for over a year and he has been nothing but a good customer to me. And a thoroughly nice bloke!

All promoters have a bad night - financially - and that can really stress people out. Personally, I would of spoken to him - whats to say he wouldnt of offered you another gig getting paid proper? I doubt he will now.....

yeh some people take streess in different ways maybe he was as allready said really stressed out and the right things to say didnt pop into his mind, this may not be his fualt it may be his way of dealing with the stress as mentioned above no more knockin him. lets hear his side of the story.

Knowing neither the dancers, nor the night or Micky, but having been invited in this thread I might as well give my twocents.

Funkymovers/diva; very unproffesional.

a) you don't try and talk to a promoter when he's DJ'ing. You don't talk to any DJ when DJing. You just don't... they will focus on the mix, and trust me on this it don't mAtter who you are, their mum or lover or someone having beef with you, at that particular moment you are 2nd to the music and won't get anywhere.... LEARN THAT NOW.

b) to post this thraed without having even spoken to the guy, well I think you seriously need to take a look at your proffesional attitude. I think you've done your own company and image just as much if not more damage then the person you are trying to slate. It's just childish, grow up and learn some business manner.

I'll probably get cussed for saying this, but I don't give a shit, I didn't care for this situ but was spammed with it so there's my opinion on the matter. Do with it what the hell you like, but it's an iopinion as valid as anyones, so maybe it can be a mirror to show you what it can look like to other people who weren't involved so you'll thinik next time before dealing with a situation the way you did now.

Peace, respect, unity... party on peeps ;-)

I would advise always talking to the promoter for their side before such a public bashing. Even if it went wrong, grievances should be sorted out before you go telling everyone about it, no matter how bad it was. If they're still arseholes come morning then fair play.

You probably don't realise the impact such a bad review could have, just hope everyone got their proper remuneration at the end of the day and things can be patched up. Micky is evidently a hard working guy and looks like whe was stitched by his partners on the night. This doesn't take anything away from the fact it evidently was dissapointing, but I'm sure Micky admits this (see above) and will work in the future to make sure it doesn't happen again. It certainly wasn't him being a slack arse, not respecting anyone he hired and not giving a shit about the punters (from what I've read), which is what was implied in your write-up.

Note, I didn't go to this event, and I don't know Micky. Just looking at it from an outside perspective that these sort of knee jerk reaction reviews rarely do anyone any favours.

Well I sure as hell wouldn't book funky knowing that if you have a dissagreement she'll go about things this way. Unproffesional isn't even the word. Anyway... I'm off good luck to the lot of ya! MEH....:-p

I have danced before for several hours (11pm - bout 4am) with a little break here and there. in a club where the air con was broken. Ended up damaging my leg where I put to much pressure on it! And now I wont be able to dance for a while.

Always make sure you have suffient breaks between dancing guys. Dont push yourself harder than you should.

I really think although this was made public you two should take it private now. It's not making either of you look good.

I can appriciate why funky diva put this up though. Being a dancer is hard work but great fun, but very fucking easy to get shafted. You have to look out for one another.

ALSO - petty insults as a crux for your argument is neither big or clever.

Micky was genuinley gutted and upset that he had been let down by alot of people and even came and appolagised to us for their behaviour. I think he made a massive effort and it is unfair for someone to blame him for the situation. I think anyone in his position would feel slightly stressed out!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree guys this is turning very ugly and no one like to air the dirty washing in public. Hope you can come to some sort of resolution, sorry your night didnt turn out as well as you hoped Micky, chin up xx
