Who said Psychedelic Indie Rockers can't like techno? Who said that you need to be an Indie Dance Crossover guy, a New Raver or whatever it's called - it seems London has said 'kids chose your pigeonhole and stay in it... better still lock that door'. Not the Super Furry Animals. They're a band - but they throw heck of a good rave too.

Already notorious for their end of gig techno finales and throwing festival after-show raves from on top of their tank, an event on Saturday 3rd November 2007 continues the tradition in true style as an old warehouse in Elephant and Castle revels in sets from Andrew Weatherall, Evil Eddie Richards (including a rare early 90's rave set ‘from the godfather of house and techno’), Gruff Rhys (Super Furry Animals Frontman/ Candylion) and the Acid Casuals DJs including Cian Ciaran.

The party celebrates two consecutive dates at the Camden Roundhouse, and features their own selection of icons from the techno and house scene.

This is not just another rave. This is a rare opportunity to attend an event organised by respected musicians themselves, simply doing it for the love. After 12 years of super band status the Super Furry Animals stay true to their music and are determined to keep their musical integrity - (turning down a $1.8 million offer from Coca Cola, anyone?).

This party offers the uncommon spectacle of the band's cult-hero frontman Gruff Rhys behind the decks and Cian Ciaran will also be playing at the event under his Acid Casuals banner and PAPS guise.

The Super Furry Animals' credentials to throw such a jump up as this are impressive. Techno is their roots! They started off as a techno outfit in the early 90's and ever since have been well known for including abstract techno moments throughout their many albums and gigs.

The party is presented by Acid Casuals (the Cian Ciaran techno led side project) events branch SOMBOM, and is in collaboration with their London based agents, Brand New Fiction.
