EXCUSE THE MESS PRESENTS... Mymy Live, Ralf Kollman, Matthew Styles, Shane Watcha, Julian, Clint Lee & Sandeman and Mr Dickie on a one night only exclusive bill at Corsica Studios on 2nd May 2009.
EXCUSE THE MESS is an innovative event conception which prides itself on a manifestation of a fresh and exciting ideology, inspired by a new wave of house and techno music. The driving force behind Excuse The Mess’s originality is bringing together a unique and eclectic group of artists and providing them with the creative platform to play, and it’s with this ethos in mind that we chase and cultivate a truly artistic essence in Electronic Dance Music.
Corsica Studio’s is the perfect spot for this festered revelry and shamelessly sophisticated showdown. The lights have been dimmed, the sound stystem tuned in and the stage is set for an absolute aural assault of the finest kind!
O MYMY LIVE
Mymy are an eclectic dj trio with a live act unlike any other. Described as a loose entity and a firm collective- whether playing alone, together or one after the next, they entwine an incredible experience for any audience to bear witness! A series of slick productions the past year, including their most recent Butterflies and Zebra’s EP on Will Saul’s label, Aus Music, has earned them dancefloor striped and something of a cultish following. Their sound and live shows are versatile, unique and perfect intelligent dancefloor fodder the discerning clubber appreciates- you don’t want to miss this exclusive performance!
O Ralf Kollman
Ralf Kollman’s presence is as intense as the full bodied-moving minimal techno he’s known to play. The man behind Mobilee Records by day, brings his German force to the box and keeps the audience wide awake and up for it when all things get nocturnal. Renowned for tight track selection and tighter mixing, flecked with all kinds of tasty unreleased material, Kollmann is an element unto his own. With Mobilee Records partner, the undisputed queen of Berlin, Anja Schneider, he sets a new standard in deep hedonism with a monthly label residency at Berlin’s Weekend Club. This is a special London appearance for ETM!
O Matthew Styles
Matthew Styles is one half of the duo behind the Crosstown Rebels record label. Known for an altruistic unmixed and experimental side, Styles, the son of dj, holds an intrinsic connection with the music that was inevitably going to guide his path. In London he was the man behind many a sexy Saturday Night session at T-bar which played host to some of the biggest names in driving Techno, including Luciano. Such is his report, that he enjoys regular gigs in some of Paris, Berlin and Spain’s best underground clubs, as well as slots at London’s powerhouse, Fabric.
O Shane Watcha
From spinning acid house in a small club in South Africa to playing alongside house music’s greatest legends in London and Europe’s top nightclubs, Shane’s journey has been an epic one indeed! Watcha has indulged his electronic fingertips at events like Circo Loco, Glastonbury and the main stage at TDK festival alongside the likes of Sasha, Bookashade, and Loco Dice. His event, Zombies Ate My Brain has adopted a cult like following in East London and recent track signings to Toolroom Records and Tim Sheridan’s VeryveryWrong label are sure to cement his spot on the map.
