Is this the coolest club in London?
We arrived slightly late, but only because we had been at the Fridge to see Twist resident Karim finishing the night off there… We arrived during the set of Tim Shaw (DNG). I’ve only been to Twist once before, but this set was recognizably in the house style – a very distinctive brand of hard house: hard, fast and sexy, with few breakdowns – just relentlessly danceable and high energy. And more hoovers than a contract cleaner’s. ;o) This night was resident Karim’s first night back after his tour of the antipodeans, and it’s easy to see why he is so popular and was so missed by the regulars. So distinctive! Tracks like ‘Vacuum packed’ just make the hairs on your neck stand up (unless you’ve had them shaved off ;o) and his remixes are something special too – I think I heard his own remix of TDV’s version of ‘Dreams’ in the set tonight, which I’d never heard before.
Not only great music but an impressive crowd. Nearly all on their feet the whole time (and this after most had presumably been to a club beforehand) bouncing around non-stop, cheering their favourite tracks. A friendly bunch too, I thought, all enjoying being part of a crowd with the same tastes. I met quite a few interesting and articulate folk, and I wasn’t surprised to see two of the other resident DJs – Supefast Oz and Tom Basquil – here as punters, either. They, like the other DJs, love this club because they can play the music they really want to play – underground hard house as hard as you like – and be appreciated for it.
And what a great sound system! Wherever you were standing the sound was loud and clear, unlike most venues I’ve been to…
Fantastic! Surely the coolest club in London….

yeh twsit @ crash is crazy, ive only been there once but was
quite funny to see my mate run inside the club after paying
then seeing him go crazy to the utter banging hard house
the hardness is very impressive as u dont hear stuff that
hard in most of the main events

Nice one, i've only been twice and 2 years apart.

Gutted i showed loyalty to a local event for all this time when could've done a far better event like Twist.
Deffo the best after party around.
