Having had such a blast in April and successfully stuck a smile on the face of Medicine Bar’s management, this time we've decided to take on both floors in a double whammy takeover down in Shoreditch, London.
Behind the decks we'll be supplying you with more of the quality music you've come to expect from the coordinated team - Floor two will represent the Jazzy Breaks side of Coordinated with a twist provided with live sax on the night, while floor one will provide the dirty techy house and usual bongo mayhem.
For July our headlining House DJ is none other than Mixmag future hero & MOS radio superstar Anil Chawla. Frequently spotted behind the decks at Turnmills and many a boat party on the Thames, Anil is on the up in a big way and certanly one to watch. Oh and did we mention it’s going to be his birthday!
Accompanying him on percussion we’ve got Bongo Man (with a name like that you know he means business)! We’ve managed to catch this guy before he jets off on his usual tour of Ibiza.
Headlining the breaks floor we’ve pulled out the stops and brought you one of the worlds leading breaks dj’s and producers Chris Carter [TCR/Record/Roxiller] along with Mr Cash who will be jamming on Sax.
Chris Carter is generally regarded as one of breakbeat's most creative and talented artists. From his early work on Botchit with partner BLIM, to his latest releases on labels like Forged and TCR, Chris brings a distinct sound, which incorporates his diverse musical influences and cutting edge production.
DJ fans of Carter include Rennie Pilgrem, BLIM, Laurent Garnier, Adam Freeland, Terminalhead, Hybrid, Hyper and Koma Bones to name but a few.
Friday the 1st of July is set to be the best one yet guys, stick it in your diary, scribble it on the back of your hand and tell everybody from your best mate to your grandma. This one's gonna rock!
