A fantastic and rare opportunity to catch Steve Lawler in the intimate club space of East Village. In a time when we're finding most superstar DJs falling by the way-side, Steve continues to re-invent himself. A testament to his passion for underground beats. His productions and remixes of late on seminal labels like R & S, Rekids, Ovum and Systematic demonstrate just how hard working this fella is, and how in demand he is as a producer. He drops an extended 4 hour set on the killer basement sound system. In support is Hypercolour label boss Jamie Russell aka Cedric Maison. The Upstairs lounge is hosted by Leftfoot with Adam Regan and Deano Ferrino mixing up the funk, latin, disco, future jazz and soul specials. Friday June 5th, 9pm-4am. £6 before 11pm, £8 after.
