On Thursday, the 5th of March, soulmates are back at East Village for a another soulful underground house jam with very special guest Melchyor A (Soulshine recordings) making his first UK appearance alongside residents Rap Saunders & Dennis Christensen. Expect nothing but that same real deep soulful house music, the dancing and that unique family vibe that is soulmates.

Originally from Tananarive, where he was born, Melchyor arrived in France in the early 80's.
His passion for music was quickly obvious: his musician career started at the age of 9, playing drums on stage for his father band. Fascinated by the meeting of soul and electronic music, proud of his roots, Melchyor A's first album, "Spirit of House", was logically a groovy mix of afro imprints and house sounds, an artistic line he has never deserted. Recognized in his own country as one of the leading forces of the underground, he climbed an additionnal rung in 2006 by releasing some stuff with the famous label Slip'n'slide, which appeared on a mess of compilations.
Supported by head honchoes like Tony Humphries, Louis Benedetti, Anane, Lego or Ed Dunn, he's hitting the headlines with his current releases, like the latest one, "Take One", on Soulshine Recordings - already compiled by Jamie Lewis - some remixes on Poji Records and Soundmen On Wax, and his appearance on Soulreel last mixed CD
