PLAYTIME FRI JUN 23
TIM SHERIDAN - BACK FROM IBIZA. STILL BEARDED. STILL WRONG!

It's official, we're "the best mixed club in London" - so says TNT. After more raves also in the Guardian and One Week to Live - not to mention the usual bunch of freaks and geeks on DSI - here it comes again. It's a particularly DJ's DJ lineup this month with insanely special guests: the very very very very wrong Tim Sheridan, plus San Francisco's Kerowack doing their first ever UK gig, Mike Monday playing new tracks from his almost-complete new album, plus Big Daddy and a long-awaited return of our ex-resident and all round madman Coley!

PLAYTIME FRI JUN 23
Tim Sheridan (wrong - you knows it!)
Kerowack (San Francisco - first UK gig!)
Coley!

RESIDENTS
Mike Monday and Big Daddy
(Quarterly David Duriez + Supa DJ Dmitry)

...But who ARE these crazy DJ persons?

TIM SHERIDAN (VERYVERYVERYWRONG)
Tim has a DJ pedigree as long as your arm as one of the Dope Smugglaz, an original resident of Home the driving force behind Nastydirtysexmusic and Veryveryverywrong - but don't ask us about him. Just read the interview - legend, madman, and the only man alive who can grow a more fearsome beard than Rolf Harris.

KEROWACK (NEW YORK - 1ST EVER UK GIG)
Like our recent guest Claude von Stroke, Kerowack honed its sound in the San Francisco underground. Their single 'Dirty Bumf' on Rip Records was a huge debut with fans from Radio One to Mylo and their latest, 'Met U In Miami', made a huge splash at WMC & received a 4.5/5 in DJ Mag - with the rave that "what about the BJs for the DJs?' could become the chant of the summer." Kerowack's next single, 'Naf Monk', will be out in September on Tommie Sunshine's Xylophone Jones label.

MIKE MONDAY (ONLY RESIDENCY WORLDWIDE)
What's Mike Monday NOT been up to in 2005? Mixmag described him as "the remixer's remixer" and IDJ magazine called him "one of the 100 reasons dance music still rules". As a producer, he's one of the worst-kept secrets in the country, having rocked the minimal crowd with 'what day is it'; the jackin' house fiends with the bootyfunk EPs and upcoming release Boondoogle; the deep house kids with Tooting Warrior and a run of releases and remixes on Freerange records - and his first artists album due out in Sep. Sasha to Steve Bug, Mylo to Rob Mello, David Duriez to Chris Duckenfield, Josh Wink to Tom Stephan - everyone’s DJing in some room of Mike Monday’s house.

COLEY!
He is "a mysterious force for acid house". A regular at Mulletover and the even trendier, weirder bits of shoreditch nightlife your cool friends are always desperate to get into, Coley is best known for starting two of his own crazy parties - Madrugada in London, which ran for three years and his new Luv*Jam in his home town Wrexham, bringing the weirdest and newest DJs into a tiny sweatbox where the party is just the precursor to the afterparty (which then is just an excuse for the after-after party...)

BIG DADDY (RESIDENT)
"My club, my rules" - as Big Daddy says. But they’re not the rules you find at other clubs. For starters, Playtime is one of the last truly mixed nights in London - a throwback to the acid house days when homos and heteros partied together and no-one gave a shit which way you swung. Then there’s the Playtime sound - jackin’, dirty as hell, with a thread of funk running from sparse to deep to robotic to truly twisted. They call it "the club that whacks you on the arse with the racing post and calls you princess" - and as TimeOut says "anyone who takes it too seriously is missing the point..."
