From its HQ in Turin (Italy) (the house of Barolo wine and Gianduia chocolate), over the past five years, the label has been releasing quality productions and remixes from House music luminaries such as Taka Boom, Sabrynaah Pope, Steve Edwards, Deepswing, Corrina Joseph, StoneBridge and Robbie Rivera – and have received so far regular DJ support from across the board from Junior Jack, Roger Sanchez, David Guetta, Deep Dish, David Morales to Michael Gray, Bob Sinclar, Mousse T and Judge Jules, as well as licensing music to record labels such as Manifesto / Universal, Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried and Pacha Ibiza.

Cosmonote Blue have started 2007 on a massive high note, thanks to the release of ElLECTRICO “Love In New Wave (Remixes)” – which has been already championed by Pete Tong week after week on his BBC Radio 1 show (8 plays), and charted in The Buzz Chart and the Cool Cuts Chart. On Saturday March 10th we welcome to the UK the official release party for the "We Are Cosmonote Blue" album with a massive party at the Egg Club for abstract.
Just before this Italian based label put on such a huge party to release their album we catch up with some of their leading artists...

Matteo - you the 'boss'! Tell us what inspired you to put this massive project together?

“Along the way to my international DJ gigs, I got my hands on a lot of unreleased slammin’ tracks from both well known and un-established artists that we immediately wanted to sign. Seeing the impressive quantity of the music collected, and the reactions some of the tracks have been getting from the Alist DJs it was natural for us to decide to put them together, and release an album with the aim to showcase new talents alongside some of the biggest names in dance industry today. It’s all about great music and great people.”

Timo Garcia, how come you're also involved in this project ?!

“Well Timo...! i’m really excited to be involved in the “We Are Cosmonote Blue” compilation project, ive got a lot of material coming out with UK based labels i though it would be great to broaden my horizons and head into Europe + i heard Turin is nice in Spring time! *nudge nudge* ;o)

Katherine Ellis (the Song Siren) - We simply cannot wait to hear you do your live PA, clubs dont get to hear enough live acts these days.. what do you think of Matteo's project?

“Matteo has been a joy to work with, and I will certainly be making more music with him in the future, I'm very proud to be a part of such a great global compilation, and very excited about performing our new track “I'm Not Hanging Around” at the Egg on March 10th, it will be a world exclusive! Kamisshake - There's only ONE place to be on Saurday the 10th right? So tell us more..

First of all I have to say I am glad to work alongside such fantastic producers whose productions i play almost every week. I believe Cosmonote Blue is heading to a direction that provide quality music regardless of its genre. And I am looking forward to their party at the Egg on 10th of March, hopefully we will see more of them in the U.K.”

We have been involved with the album project from very early on and have seen it grow into one of the most exciting compilations in the industry.
