NEW DIRECTIONS, NEW DESTINATION, NEW YEAR
Due to the overwhelming response to last year’s Test Lounge competition (La Gosse & La Rue & Barber were crowned as our overall winners.. Congratulations again) we kick off the New Year on Saturday 5th of January by asking you for the 2nd time to test your prowess, and compete to be the next winner of our Competition in 2008. This year we are not just looking for DJ talent but also we are looking for any signed or unsigned bands and acts.
Bands & Acts
We are looking for Indie/Dance/Electronic cross-over groups to send in their demos. You must include a CV, full contact details, plus your facebook and myspace details, and a photo.
DJs
If you are a budding DJ of any level who plays House (i.e - Soulful, Jackin, Fidgety, Deep, Tribal, Disco), Minimal, Eclectic or Nu Rave styles, please send us in your mix CD. You must include a track listing, DJ CV, and full contact details, plus your facebook/myspace details, and a photo. We do not require any mixes from DJs who play Electro/Funky/Hard House, Trance, R&B etc so please don’t waste your time sending it to us.
If we like what we hear you will receive confirmation by e-mail or telephone sometime in the next month asking you to compete in the first heat on 5th of Jan. The overall winner(s) in the DJ section will win a contract with a London Based DJ Agency, music downloads, equipment and a trophy. The overall winner(s) in the Band/Acts section will be signed to a London label, win music downloads and will also receive a trophy. Both category winner(s) will be given a gold Disc in our new Test Lounge Hall of Fame – this will be in the building here at EGG for everyone to see.
