A real passion for music, focus, and creative energy has put Scott Martin firmly on the DJ map. The pioneer of a totally eclectic style, Scott Martin’s distinctive sound covers a broad music spectrum, from chill out, ambient and lounge through broken beat, hip-hop, jazz, latin and breaks to all types of house music.

For the past two summers Scott has held a residency for Ibiza’s most popular night, “We Love...” on Sundays at Space. Add this to an already impressive list of residencies that include Mambo, Savannah, Sugar Sea and Itaca and it is clear to see the calibre of this truly ‘Balearic’ DJ. Over the past 6 years in Ibiza Scott has played for Radio 1's 10th Anniversary party @ Space, has spent a season DJing with the ‘Cuban Bothers’, and has been a regular guest at Steve Lawler’s night “Viva” also at Space. Other high-profile guest-slots around the island have included Pacha, Eden, Es Paradis, Lolas, Las Dalias and Bambuddha Grove. Scott has played alongside many of the world’s greatest DJs on a regular basis including Danny Tenaglia, Fatboy Slim, Tiefschwarz, Alfredo, James Zabiela, Pete Tong, Frankie Knuckles, Layo & Bushwacka!, Roger Sanchez, 2 Many DJs, Groove Armada. DJ Hell, Nic Fanciulli, Erick Morillo and DJ Sneak. Not only appealing to ‘popular culture’, Scott is also a favourite on the underground, after-hours and villa party scenes in Ibiza.

Beside his DJ residencies, Scott (along with fellow dj and friend, Jamie Gittins) has created one of the most respected and fastest growing club brands around, “FILTHY gorgeous”. Launched in July 2005 as a small party in San Antonio’s ‘West End’ FILTHY gorgeous hosted successful parties at Pacha (London), Honey Club (Brighton), The Northern Light (Leeds) and Mezzanine (Tulum, Mexico), before returning to Ibiza in 2006 for a residency at the world’s biggest club, Privilege. Every Wednesday FILTHY gorgeous entertained an international crowd in Privilege’s Coco Loco room as part of Mauro Picotto’s “Meganite”, gaining great press along the way – DJ mag, M8 mag and The Sun on-line amongst the many favourable reviews. The season was topped off nicely when the pair were nominated as ‘Best Up Coming DJs’ at the M8 Ibiza Dance awards in September. Throughout the winter the FILTHY gorgeous brand continued to flourish with a series of gigs at some of the UK’s most prestigious clubs; Sankeys (Manchester), The Custard Factory (Birmingham), Canvas (London) and Warehouse (Leeds) to name a few, as well as taking the brand north of the border with a series of regular events in Glasgow. Spring 2007 saw FILTHY gorgeous embark on an overseas tour, with some amazing gigs in Mexico, Thailand, China and Dubai, before heading back to Ibiza for another successful summer, hosting a series of clandestine events in unusual locations.

Outside of the clubs and Scott Martin is equally at home on radio, or in the studio. Scott hosted a weekly show on HFM (Ibiza) and has had guest appearances and mixes on UK stations, MoS radio, Kiss 100 and Unknown FM. Scott is working on several productions with his first release due soon on the recently formed FILTHY gorgeous Recordings label.

Scott Martin is currently based in London and has played many of the capital’s established venues including Pacha, Egg, Turnmills, Café de Paris, The Key, Canvas, Scala, Sosho and The Dogstar, as well as clubs up and down the UK like Sankeys, Custard Factory, Honey Club, Ocean Rooms, Ignition, The Warehouse and The Northern Light. Scott has just launched a new Sunday morning after-hours party ‘Lourd’ with friend/dj/wrongun Enzo Siragusa, and has several new ventures in the pipeline.

"Scott has an eclectic and diverse sound and is very inspirational in pushing good music forward, whilst also cementing his name within clubland as a professional party organiser. “I like Scott Martin, yet he is a Ginger. Yes, like many of my fellow countrymen I mistrust people of a ginger disposition!..." Mark Broadbent - Promoter of We Love..(Space)
