Happy Birthday to us! Saturday 3rd of May we celebrate our 5th wonderful year and we hope that you can all join us. London clubland has seen many changes in the last year, with the closure of greats such as The Cross, The Key, Canvas and now Turnmills. We are pleased to say the mighty EGG is still standing so this Birthday we will not only be celebrating our 5th year but also raising a toast to the future with you guys - our fabulous extended EGG family.
As you can imagine for this special occasion we will be pulling out all the stops. This time round we have picked a Japanese theme, so pull on those kimonos, think comic books and computer games heroes, geishas or samurai, just slap on the kitsch and turn totally Japanese for the evening. You can expect YO! Sushi prizes, giveaways from Kirin and Ashai beer, Karaoke, sumo wrestling, manga films, sushi (of course), giant origami, geisha girls and lots more Japanese goodies and fun around the venue.
We have a monster line up with 5 Rooms of sound for you to choose from. In Room 1 we have the hilarious, bizarre and uber cool JONNY WOO experience with performances and DJs. In Room 2 we have your favourite EGG residents La Rue & Barber, Pagano, Lady Bianca and Malcolm Duffy bringing you the finest main room house. Then over in Room 3 we have very, very special guests in the form of TREVOR LOVEYS (myspace.com UNCLE BUCK (myspace.com TRIPLE R (TRAUM GERMANY), and helping them bring in the birthday cheer will be EGG residents Nils and La Gosse.
In Room 4 we have regulars Anto, JB and Locomosquito. And finally.. Last but most DEFINATELY not least In Room 5 we have a lovely Japanese treat in the form of DISCO GEISHA - they will be bringing Geisha dancers, DJs and VJs to really whip you up into an Eastern frenzy. DJS for Disco Geisha will include: TOMOKI TAMURA (Geishadiscoboyz, Pild Records), GABBI LOPEZ (wavetec, Brickbeat, Cafe 1001), EIGHTBITRATE, SSAFARI and JAMES.
