With the EUROSTAR coming directly from Paris into EGG’s neighbourhood of Kings Cross, we’re now the main London clubbing link to downtown Paris. With this in mind we will also be advertising the party in Paris, so expect some extra authentic fun in the form of our chic Gaelic clubland pals from across the channel, plus of course the crème of the French community from London. You can also be sure in true EGG in-house party tradition we will be laying on MAGNIFIQUE, opulent and amazing decor all around the open air/part covered garden and main venue. Think Paris circa 1900 and everything that comes with it. There will be free cocktails (before 12am) and with our fabulous kitchens now open – delicious food to keep you partying until the early hours. French martinis available from the garden bar all night.

? ? DJ GREGORY (Defected/paris)

This year headlining on the terrace we have an extra special treat DJ wise in the form of Parisian House Legend and Defected Record’s supremo DJ GREGORY (myspace.com DJ Gregory began his recording career in the late '90s, producing tracks for the labels Basenotic Records and Yellow Productions, before affiliating himself with the celebrated Africanism project and ultimately founding his own label, Faya Combo, in the new millennium. Two of his signature productions are (click to listen..) "TROPICAL SOUNDCLASH" (youtube.com and "ELLE" (youtube.com Born Grégory Darsa, he became serious about house music around 1990, when he began making annual pilgrimages to New York City to explore the city's club scene. During the early '90s he became known in the French house scene importing underground New York dance music to France. This is how he met DJ Deep and by mid-decade he was making a name for himself as a DJ, most notably appearing regularly on Radio FG in collaboration with DJ Deep.

In 1996 DJ Gregory made his recording debut with a Cerrone Sample, "Take the Cash & Run," on Basenotic Records as Cheesy D. Then he hits the charts with his remix of cheek “Venus” Sunshine People. The following year he co-produced "Faithfull," a hit collaboration with Julien Jabre as Fantom for the EMI subsidiary Source. Throughout the remainder of the decade, he produced additional tracks under a series of monikers -- namely Bobby Ewing, .G, Prassay, Carinhoso Project, and DJ Gregory -- for a variety of labels, most notably Yellow Productions, home of DJ Yellow and Bob Sinclar. In 2000 he began producing tracks as Africanism, a collaborative project on Yellow Productions; two of his productions in the series, "BLOCK PARTY" (click to listen – you’ll definitely know this one! youtube.com and "TOURMENT D'AMOUR," (youtube.com became international club hits.

Established as a hit maker, DJ Gregory founded his own label in 2002, Faya Combo, and released "Tropical Soundclash," another sensation, this one billed to himself. His fifth release on Faya Combo, "Elle" (2003), was also a club smash. During this same time period, he and Bob Sinclar mixed the double-disc Africanism (2002); plus, he and Julien Jabre produced a series of tracks for Basic Recordings under the Soha moniker. In 2004 Gregory was awarded "MOST INNOVATIVE PRODUCER" at the House Music Awards. In subsequent years, DJ Gregory affiliated himself with Defected Records, on which he released Faya Combo Sessions (2008), a three-CD collection of his work (the first disc a DJ mix, the second a compilation of his productions, the third a compilation of productions as remixed by others). Year 2008: Gregory relocates to Amsterdam, now exploring the Dutch club scene and collaborations with Holland’s finest producers. Meanwhile he takes on a couple of projects, traveling back and forth to Brazil and Angola and working with the local artists. 2009 looks promising so far. More studio projects, more releases, more travel, more collaborations. This versatile, emotional and ground-breaking producer is not done yet so definitely stay tuned.

? ? SANDEMAN & mR dIckIE

We are most excited to welcome the return of Sandeman & Mr Dickie who will be playing in the basement. They absolutely rocked this floor back in April when they hosted it with Patrick Chardronnet as their special guest, and we are sure this will be a repeat performance. Sandeman & Mr Dickie are gifted with the licence to Entertain. Since the Scottish duo set up camp in the capital they have clearly marked their territory on London's party scene, building a following of trendy creatives who expect more from their nights out and want to step out of the safe zone with their music. Party after party, Sandeman and Mr Dickie have rocked the dancefloor and upped the ante with their fresh electronic sounds of bouncy, plings, plongs, drrrrrrrrrrrrrrs, tings, whipping baselines and muffled vocals. Their recent party project “Family Affair” saw the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Tiefschwarz and Terry Francis turning up to play as secret guests.

Initially kudos came from their weekly residency at East London's quirky Moroccan cocktail bar Casa Blue. These parties became unmissable, with the crowd attending religiously. People regularly spilled out onto the street in front of the venue at these gigs, and the once unknown bar was now on the map. Right in the hub of things, Casa Blue is nestled perfectly on Brick Lane, one of East London's key cultural minefields. At a time when East London was bursting at the seams with cool, it would be easy to get lost in the tide of new talent, sunglasses and muddy plimsoles, yet Sandeman and Mr Dickie have established themselves as jewels in the crown of a booming scene. As minimal pied pipers they continue to lead a trail of musical boffins from warehouse to super club. Rarely playing faster than 122BPM their sets see them weave seamlessly for hours through stripped down beats, minimal tech and wonky house, influenced by labels such as Leftroom, Minus, Trapez, Frankie France and Mo’s Ferry Productions.

Currently Sandeman & Mr Dickie hold down a residency at the home of their record label Ifidota, at Platinum in Shoreditch. As well as their dj-ing they are currently putting in the hours at the loft studio in Platinum where production work for the label is underway. All eyes are on Sandeman and Mr Dickie and with early production as cutting edge as their musical palette we eagerly await the next chapter.
