I:AM is a fresh breed of DJ/Producers coming out of London, making serious waves since they burst onto the house music scene at the end of 2007. Through a combination of silky production skills and uplifting DJ sets, I:AM are fast becoming one of the most exciting acts in electronic music right now.

The last two years saw them holding regular appearances at the legendary clubs THE CROSS, PACHA, TURNMILLS & MINISTRY OF SOUND with the likes of Claude von Stroke, Tim Sheridan, Mason, Armin van Buuren, Sister Bliss no name just a few.

Their debut EP, “Everybody” is a statement of their talent and unique style, mixing driving underground beats with Powerful melodic leads, which has been getting massive support from the likes of D.Ramirez, Dubfire, Axwell, Seamus Haji, The Scumfrog, Michael Gray, Jon Carter.

Their tracks and mixes have been played as far a field as MIXXIMIZED in LA, Radio FG in France, VONYC in Germany Oxygen Radio in Portugal.

With top gigs already lined-up for this Summer, I:AM is a name you will be hearing a lot more from.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
H: I always wanted to be an Archaeologist after watching the Indiana Jones movies.
F: Be able to do fireballs like Ryu or a filmmaker.

What’s the worst club you’ve ever been too?
H: Got to be “Discoteka” in Miami. That place is Evil...
F: Definitely. It was like a scene from “Dusk till Dawn”, when everything became weird…

What’s been your worst job?
H: My worst job was handing out flyers in Ibiza back in 1999. I lasted 1 week...eheh. Full respect for the guys doing it the whole season.
F: Jobs are bad?

What are you obsessed with?
H: Music and everything related to it.
F: Big house music!

And what do you hate right now?
H: I try not to hate anything at all. I’m full of Love ?
F: I agree, no hate, only love ... maybe bad food, hate that.

How would you introduce yourself to someone who’d never heard of you?
H: Hi, my name is Hannibal. How is it going?
F: Pretty similar, Hi my name is Fabian, check it.

Have you ever been arrested?
H: Me… Never… ;)
F: Does detention at school count?

What’s the best record ever made?
H: Giorgio Moroder , Larry Heard, Joe Smooth, Kraftwerk. Tough choice…
F: Anything by the Bee Gees.

What’s the coolest thing in your house?
H: My Studio. It’s very cool.
F: Me? LOL

What’s the best advice you’ve ever had?
H: Be honest and truthful to everyone and yourself. Never quit or lose hope. You Will Persevere.

F: Have courage, difficulties are good, and put your heart and soul into everything you do. Just as deep!

What’s your vice?
H: Definitely making music. Oh and eating chocolate...
F: Yeah, you know you have a problem when it’s 2am in the morning on a school night and you want to perfect the Lead, add one more percussion. Love it.

What were you doing at 2pm last Sunday afternoon?
H: Ahaha, that’s an easy one. In the studio with Fabian, producing and eating chocolate actually...
F: Damn, that’s exactly what I was doing!

What’s your answer to everything?
H: Chill. Stay positive and everything will be fine.
F: I’ll let you know. (I’m a commitment freak.)

On a scale of 1-10 how good are you in the sack?
H: You would have to ask my missus but I think she’s pretty happy with my performance...
F: That would be boasting.

What’s your prized possession that you’ve still got from when you were a kid?
H: Uhm, nothing really. I tend to lose things quite easily...
F: A big cuddly elephant. Very cool.

Have you ever had a homosexual experience?
H: Not that I know of.
F: Back in the summer of ’62?

What do you spend your money on?
H: Buying new music and Studio Gear.
F: I horde it, or food.

What was your last big treat?
H: A new Apple MacPro 8 Core. It’s the Daddy....
F: I really should treat myself more often, I can’t remember!

What’s your drug of choice?
H: Eat great food and sleep. I’m addicted to those 2.
F: Great music, just lifts your soul.

What would you change about yourself if you could?
H: I would like to be a real good Piano player. I’m working on it…
F: I always look to improve where ever I can.

What’s the worst item of clothing you’ve ever worn?
H: I don’t have a lot of regrets there, but the late 90’s were quite cruel on my fashion sense.
F: Shell suits, the fabric is totally unsuitable for my skin.

If you had a Tardis, what time would you go back to?
H: I would go back to the 60’s and hang out with the original hippies...
F: Loved ancient history, would go back then, see what it was really like, or ancient Japan with the samurai’s and crazy ninja’s and stuff. Big Kurosawa fan.

What’s your lamest claim to fame?
H: I appeared in the CD Booklet of the “Kiss Club Life 2000”. It was quite cool at the time.
F: I was on Disneyclub as a kid, got gunked on national TV. So proud.

You’re playing at our party on May 23rd at the Egg so what do you have in-store?
H: We’ve just finished some new tracks that will rock the socks of The Egg. It’s going to be the Daddy. If you are reading this come and say hi. Let’s Roll.....
