The Codekontrol Crew once again return to Egg for another top tech nite, this time in collaboration with some great record labels. Joining the excellent Codekontrol regulars; Johnny Fiore, Gabriel Amaru, Soundbyte and Chris Mimo, will be the musical stylings of Steffen Deux and RILLS in the basement arena, with Lovebirds, Harry James and Mihai Amatti taking centre stage in the Terrace. There are enough individual flavours here guaranteed to suit any discerning palate, but mix them all together and you have a Codekontrol pie that tastes so good, you would think it should be illegal!!

You might not be yet familiar with the name Steffen Deux, but rest assured that this is likely to change during the remainder of 2011.
A native of Mannheim, Germany and resident DJ at Ludwigshafen's notorious Loft Club (recent guests Villalobos, Carl Cox, Marco Carola), Steffen stands for groovy, melodic and always danceable house music.
His first productions will arrive on air london and 8 Bit this summer. 'Yankee Clipper' on air london is out on June 30 and is already confirmed to appear on the Cocoon 'Party Animals' Ibiza compilation.
RILLS [8bit//Tsuba]
Alongside the endless boulevards and among the industrial Turin’s countless blocks, in the heart of Mirafiori, two steps away from the factory of the Italian Motor City, Rills grows up with metal beats. Xplosiva, national and internationally renowned promoter, spots, in the middle 2000s, the young boy’s sophisticated taste and enlists him as a resident, committing him burning warm ups next to absolute names: Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Akufen and Zip just to name a few.
This young artist’s ear refines and in a city that has deep pretensions in the field, Rills puts feelings and creativity into his music searching for the fil rouge of his journey into the electronic music universe. It’s spring of 2009 when the fresh sound of the Bye Bye EP, produced together with his partner in crime Step is printed in vinyl on the Spanish label Esperanza. The feedbacks from the jet set arrive immediately and they are massive: Loco Dice and Laurent Garnier play it around the most famous dance venues.
His sound has flown over big events of electronic music such as Club to Club and Robot festivals and in important clubs across Europe such as the Club der Visionaere in Berlin, Tenax in Florence, Cassero in Bologna and Boulevard in Barcelona during the Sonar 2010 weekend.
Lovebirds
Lovebirds is the solo project of Hamburg resident Sebastian ‘Basti’ Doering. Following 3 excellent singles on the much-respected Winding Road Records label, Lovebirds is big news right now. Labels such as Freerange and Buzzin Fly are hot on his heels, eager to sign his tracks.
The first Lovebirds release appeared on Trax of Interest in 2006, having built up a repertoire of unsigned material, he sent a CD to John Buckby, label owner of Winding Road Records and a mutual friend of Vincenzo.
The Lovebirds sound is like a blast from the past with house steroids packing serious production muscle. Listening to Lovebirds is like taking trip back to the 70s and 80s - but riding in a gleaming futuristic spaceship.
Harry James
Harry is the resident Dj & Promoter for London nights such as Snap Crackle & Pop & This is Not Happening.
In the past 3 years he has played some of the best clubs around the world, and share bills with some of my favourite acts, such as Justin Martin, Style Of Eye, Justice & Wolf + Lamb.
With my own tracks in the pipeline, 2011 is looking like a good year.
