Aleksei is a Russian born, British raised DJ & Producer based in Swansea, United Kingdom. His introduction to Electronic Dance Music was through the big trance & techno sound of the late 90’s, where his fascination with this music form led him to begin experimenting with music production & remixing as an outlet for his passion.

In the year 2000, Aleksei showcased his music at the phenomenon that was ‘MP3.com’, a website for unsigned artists. Consequently interest soon came in from a small Dutch label ‘Gesture Music’ that wanted to sign one of his trance tracks. By this time however, Aleksei was bored of the formulaic Trance sound and had drifted into House music, particularly the Progressive sound that Sasha & Digweed were pushing through and so declined their offer on the grounds that it didn’t represent his new sound.

The journey continued through most avenues of House & Electronic music, Aleksei found himself producing a lot of styles, ranging from, Progressive & Tech-House, Deep House, Detroit, Techno and even Breaks. Influences came in from all angles and it was then that Aleksei knew that the next step was to start playing out.

The opportunity soon came during his time spent working the Bars & Clubs of Ibiza during 2003 & 2004, where he started playing the underground workers parties around San Antonio, rubbing shoulders with Ibiza legends such as Alex P, Brandon Block & Jonathan Ulysses.

Aleksei returned home in October 2004, after a hugely successful 2 years in Ibiza, and without wasting any time secured himself a residency at the most respected venue in Swansea, Revolution.

A Further 2 years on, and Aleksei is now recognised as being one of the core DJ's to break the Electro/Tech sound in Swansea and is now playing venues such as Escape (Wales's biggest Superclub), Revolution Bars in Swansea, Bristol (Uber) and Reading (Electric Disco), Monkey Bar Swansea, Hush Club Swansea, and monthly '\\religion' parties in London (www.religionpromotions.co.uk) that he and some friends began to promote during the summer of 2006 which have been growing in size exponentially!

His production background has been instrumental in distinguishing Aleksei from the rest, his unique style is driven by the exclusive remixes and re-edits that he creates, ensuring fresh sets and cutting edge new music at all times.

His profile constantly rising not just in Swansea, but throughout the UK and even worldwide through his remixes, Aleksei is definitely becoming more and more in demand and who knows what the next year will hold… Watch this space.
