NEXTNODISKONEXTNODISKONEXTNODISKO...

Stick Saturday 25th August in your diaries of D.O.P.E. - to celebrate the next Bank Holiday weekend we're doing a special Nodisko Carnival Weekend party in Room 3 of Fabric with some of our favourite DJs in the whole world: the megariffic Belgian boys THE GLIMMERS and cowbell-tastic kings of New York RUB-N-TUG. It's the coolest room in the club and our last two parties there have been utter chaos 'til veryverylateindeed.

Also appearing at Fabric that night will be M.A.N.D.Y., Claude Von Stroke and residents Craig Richards and Terry Francis - with a line-up like that it's gonna be one of our biggest parties of the year, no diggedy!

More on our guests:

THE GLIMMERS
Alongside fellow party starters 2Many DJs and Optimo, Belgians Mo and Benolie are the best party DJs on the European underground. Celebrating their 20th Anniversary of playing records together this year, they first broke through to the UK's clubbing consciousness with their ace, genre-bashing 'Eskimo' and 'Culture Club' mix comps at the turn of the Noughties. They've since DJ'd all over the planet, run the awesome Eskimo Recordings, released a mix through Fabric's record label last year and more recently started producing and releasing through its new Diskomo off-shoot; an artist album's expected in early 2008. This is their first ever Nodisko appearance and we're massive chuffed to have them. Their brand new 'Eskimo Volume 5' compilation drops on September 10th and a Balearic disco belter it is too.

RUB-N-TUG
New Yorkers Thomas Bullock and Eric Thomas met a party (where else?) and took their name from the Chinese massage parlour-cum-loft space they used to throw parties at in the early Noughties. These were raucous affairs with several hundred or so revellers shuffling and shaking to their wild mash-up sets where camp, cowbell-tastic disco epics rubbed shoulders with seventies space-rock and speaker-troubling electronic house. Through word-of-mouth they caught the ears of Belgium's Glimmers, who recognised them as kindred spirits; a mix compilation for their Eskimo label entitled 'Campfire' followed in 2004. They've since recieved massive acclaim in alternative dance circles, have become firm faves at mega-hip spots like Horse Meat Disco and the remix offers flowed like tequila shots. And like The Glimmers they've also put out one of the best compilations released through Fabric.
