A new dawn breaks over clubland and it is spooky..
REVIEWS OF JADED an BLONDE's preview party at Ghost on NYD
By our chums...

"After taking a trip down the stairs and through the brick arches of jaded's new home Ghost I wouldn't have been surprised to be rubbing shoulders with Jack the Ripper at the bar, or cutting a rug with Bill Sykes on the dance floor.
Its a whole new dirty chic world where the venue reflects and enhances the deep house beats an creates a unique atmosphere thats coolie creepy.
Thank fully I didn't encounter any scary literary characters from the mean streets, but instead the cream of the clubbing scene, the fantasical, and the dancing minxes loving the minimal. If I could sum up the experience I would say it's London - dirty, beautiful and unexpected." Holly Johnsen, Jaded Sex Symbol

“Absolutely what London needs right now!” Caner Turkel, Organiser, DJaid

“After experiencing Jaded’s NYD party at the new venue I can honestly say 2009 looks very exciting for London’s best afterhours! The venue is underground (literally) and raw and pretty much the perfect afterhours, heads down party-space. I can’t wait…..” Dean Muhsin, Bearweasel (8-bit, Tsuba, Supernature, murmur, Bloop)

“Jaded @ Ghost is the alternative to all things mundane, with a sexy warehouse horror cafe feel. The beautiful people, the amazing vibe and the party where musical epiphanies are born - this place is what living is about.” Quentin Schlebusch, Live Tech Rebelz

"From the moment i walked into Ghost i could feel the atmosphere in the building and there's only been one party there so far! God help us once its in full swing. Everything from the door staff to dance floor oozed fun. I have a sneaky feeling that ghost will take its place in London's underground clubbing elite." Mouj, Jaded Resident

I think Ghost has the potential to be a classic Jaded venue. Really enjoyed myself on NYD.

A new 350 capapcity club opens in February 2009 in Clerkenwell. Aptly, given it's name, it has appeared as if by magic just at the time clubland needs it most...

The new Club is to be called Ghost and it’s located just seconds from the Turnmills site and minutes from Fabric. It is to be run by two ladies Dee Shannen (currently the General Manger of AKA), and Ellen Mercieca. The building which has a capacity of 500 and a 24 hour license was once a Victorian Paper Mill and retains the feeling of a warehouse space, although it will be decked to offer the kind of luxury and service you’d find at the very best of nightclubs.

Some of London's most well known underground parties are rumoured to b moving to the venue, which has a 24 hour license. The combination of vast high ceilings, pillars and shafts of daylight streaming in from high windows in the far corner makes Ghost the perfect place for daytime parties.

Ok, so is this a spot the errors caption, and what is the capacity?

150 may be the capacity of an attached bar, I assume?

The place is shut again now to finish the refurb. Apparantly there are going to be 2 rooms, whereas only 1 was open on NYD. I would guess that the 150 is the capacity of the as-yet-unopened room.

Its fair say it's quite large guys, but broken up by having natural partitions between the bar area and dancefloor.

The little niches mean you can hop from one to another and there's a micro party going on in each.

I reckon it looks comfortable with 350 in the main room. As is the case with daytime parties, there is a high in-out figure over the day, especially now we're east, and people can club hop.
