THE SKAMONICS LIVE
4 DECK SET FROM SAFFROLA (NINJA TUNE/SOLID STEEL) & DJ SHORTY (UK DMC FINALIST)
DJ'S SIMON KURAGE &
MR SHIVER (SIZE DOESN'T MATTER)

Ginglik is 5! Join us on the 25th May to celebrate our 5th birthday. It will be the exact anniversary, to the day, of our opening night five years ago! We have a fantastic live 8 piece Ska band, THE SKAMONICS, playing alongside some of our favourite DJs.
SAFFROLA (NINJA TUNE/SOLID STEEL) & DJ SHORTY (UK DMC FINALIST) will be bringing a special 4 deck set of Breaks & D'n'B! Sometime MC and shocked haired front man for the Pest experience Saffrola and UK DMC finalist DJ Shorty have teamed up and produced an amazing relentless party rocker of a set. Also playing, our friends from Size Doesn't Matter, DJ KURRAGE & MR SHIVER with their eclectic blend of Funk, Reggae, Disco, Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, dance classics and other quality music to suit one and all.
We have also secured an extension to our licence so you can party with us until 3AM (doors still have to close at 12.30AM). We'd love to see you all down here, old and new members alike. Our birthday do's are always very busy so make sure you get in nice and early to avoid disappointment.

THE SKAMONICS
Jazz meets Ska, London style. The Skamonics are an 8 piece Jazz meets Ska band, playing a unique mix of Two Tone, Ska, Jazz. Imagine Herbie Hancock jamming with The Specials, or if Kraftwerk were from Kingston Jamaica... sharp suits, silly hats and a killer horn section. Made up from some of London's top Jazz and Ska musicians, the key to the Skamonic sound is that it appeals to so many different ages and backgrounds. From Reggae fans to Jazz heads, to people who just want to dance, they'll put a smile on your face. Plus a dedicated Jamaican Ska DJ!
