Car Park Party!!!!
Go!Zilla's Terry Hart (Drama, Nude, Redlight) and James Priestley (secretsundaze, All Over My Face) team up with Robin Scott-Lawson (My Beautiful City, Return to New York) and are proud to announce details of the first of a series of new, highly produced, underground parties for London's discerning party go-er, Go!Zilla's Beautiful City.

Set in unique, stand-alone venues, the 3 of them will be bringing something fresh, an alternative to the sometimes stale London 'club scene'. Between them they have hosted some of the most talked about parties in London - the carry-on that was Terry Hart's Drama and now NUDE, Robin's high fashion Return To New York parties at the Great Eastern Hotel and James' not so secret any more secretsundaze afternoon House parties in East London. Between them they know how to throw a party and are all rather excited about their new collaborative project, Go!Zilla's Beautiful City.

First of all, about the venue. The party will be set at Hearn Street Car Park, a covered private car park on the city edge of Shoreditch, just off Curtain Road. Fully licensed, we will be transforming the space to the high standard our clientele have come to expect. So, you will find luxury loos (no murky portaloos), sufficient heating throughout, a fully staffed cloakroom and last but by no means least, a beefy Funktion One sound system ensuring the soundtrack to the party. Basically, this is not just some other east end warehouse party with no attention to detail and every expense spared!

Musically, we have curated a line-up representing the diversity of what is exciting in electronic music at the moment in Europe. Headlining is Jay Haze aka 'Fuckpony' live. Jay is best known for his off-kilter stripped down techno on his own Contexterrior and Tuning Spork labels but his latest incarnation Fuckpony, which saw an album released on Berlin's Get Physical takes in a wider approach. In their words 'Detroit techno snuggles up to deep house textures, Chicago claps and drums get cosy with raw acid lines, mournful synths accompany soulful, tripped out vocals'. This is the UK debut of Fuckpony and is not to be missed! www.fuckpony.com

Closer to home, we welcome Subway - Live who despite being from London, is their debut show in their beautiful hometown. With an album due early next Spring on the excellent Soul Jazz label, and one already in the bag on Rob da Bank's Sunday Best imprint, they have been the talk of the town of recent months, on the tip of the tongue of all the right taste-maker DJs and music heads. Fusing influences as diverse as Krautrock, Detroit Techno and Cosmic Disco, they have a unique driving sound. Check www.myspace/subway2006 for a taster.

Making his way over from Paris via Eurostar for the night is our guest DJ, Joakim. Whilst not recording hits such as 'Come Into My Kitchen' and 'Are You Vegetarian' for Versatile Records and running his own Tigersushi label and website empire, which has played host to compilations from the likes of Optimo and Ivan Smagghe no less, Joakim travels the world playing excellent music. Whilst his dj sets are rooted in House, Techno & Electro he is also known for his diversity and always throws in the odd surprise. This is a rare chance to catch him in UK. www.tigersushi.com / www.versatilerecords.com

Warming up for Subway are label mates Capracara aka Jonathan Burnip. By day, he can be found working in top London record store, Sounds of The Universe, by night, he makes House/Techno as Capracara. His recent 'Flashback 86' track brought him to the attention of many DJs including Ame who recently licensed the track to their 'Mixing' compilation on Sonar Kollektiv. He is also currently working on a new studio project with Nathan Gregory Wilkins and is a producer definitely worth keeping your eyes on www.myspace.com/capracara

Closing the party will be Go!Zilla and secretsundaze resident James Priestley who will be delivering to the party faithful as ever! www.myspace.com/jamespriestley

The event is sponsored by Vladivar vodka so expect some free-flowing cocktails and shots throughout the night.

After the success of the My Beautiful City's Summer Electronic Ball at the same venue and the crazily over-demanded Go!Zilla Penthouse or Pavement session back in October, the scene is set for some PARTY! - We hope you can join us.

PLEASE ADD YOUR BUDDIES!

Fan-f*cking-tastic, and I left at 2am! Really annoyed as went on to Fabric to catch Tiefschwarz, only to be mildly disappointed with them. Wish I'd stayed at Go!Zilla cos it was rocking when we left!

Hats off to Terry (at al) for proving once again how he has become one of London's best party promoters.

Hey Jules, it was a nice surprise bumping into you and Chrissy! Sorry we couldn't join you, but me and Dee were grinding to a halt after Go!Zilla and Cafe 1001. Where were you off to, BTW? I remember is that it was raining, but not much else...

James Priestly ruled. I remember shaking his hand when he finished... Again, however, the rest of the night is a bit of a blur...

See you soon.

LOL we went for brekkie in a lovely deli next to Cafe 1001, then went to Laden showrooms had a litte shop and went home. We lost the will for clubbing after queueing in the rain outside Public Life for an hour (after being told it would be one-in-one out)! Think I'm writing off Kubicle, unless you get there an hour before it opens or you're Italian you don't stand a hope in hell of getting in! ;-)
