Frantic NYE - Thank You
Firstly a Big Thank you to all the DJs, Clubbers, and Staff who helped make Frantic NYE 2007 another great Hard House gathering…

When we decided to put Frantic on for NYE all the usual Frantic venues like the Fridge, Koko and the Academy were booked. We decided to look high and low for a different space that would allow us to book our favourite DJs and throw one unforgettable party!

After a long search we found a place full of character behind Liverpool St Station. We then worked for many weeks to design a look and feel that would make the place come alive.

When we started the build on Saturday the space was completely empty, so we had to bring in everything from the award winning Line Array Sound to the 40 Light Effects, the Seating, the Heating, the Toilets and all the staging…We actually had 12 people work all day on NYE to set things up.

While we have already had lots of positive comments about everything from the character of the old warehouse to Mark EG and Cally’s set there are 3 things we will improve for next time:

1) The Main Room opened late. Unfortunately the Sound Company were late arriving with the final part of the sound system and this meant that they didn’t complete the set up in time. We can only apologise and will ensure that this doesn’t happen again.

2) The Toilets. We did try and book the toilets you find in the VIP area at Global and other festivals but as we were late to decide on the gig all the suppliers of Toilets had already booked out this type of Toilet. We will ensure we get these flushing toilets with running water and basins next time.

3) The Cloakroom was too small. Next time we will increase the cloakroom capacity by at least 30%.

4) The Power Cuts in the Main Room. The Main Power Cut was caused when somebody went behind the barriers and pulled the plug out of the wall. Unfortunately as it was a large venue it took our electrician time to find that this was the problem and put the plug back in. We can only apologise that something so simple interrupted your NYE partying…

We would like to invite all who attended and the many who couldn’t to our annual FREE Payback Frantic vs Moondance Party at Hidden this Sat 5th Jan. Please email full names to willfrantic@yahoo.co.uk.

Finally we would like to offer the first 100 who go to www.ticketweb.co.uk on Monday 7th January £5 limited edition discount tickets for Timeless 6 on Sat 23rd Feb. Just use the promo code ThankU08.

i love how the bad guy is never actually shown till the end but its made out as if you should have worked it from characters in the programme. Its no Murder She Wrote

"oh look, the monster was really old mr pardew from the sewage works!!"

it's rather like Poirot ("it is the leeettle grei cells, 'astings"):
it turns out that the murderer is a character who's only ever appeared in the background throughout the whole thing, about whom one knows nothing, and who has only had about two lines of dialogue ... and then the smug belgian git sits there stroking his moustache and explains how it was perfectly obvious

well me and my mates had a wicked time at frantic, the only criticism they made was the toilets, other than that frantic provided the underground feel they promised! it bought back memories from when i used to go clubbing in dark and myserious places, it gives it that grime and characteristic feeling! but way back you didn't have toilets or wash baisins, and you had to carry everything! thanks to will and chloe for the top night and i'm sure they will rectify everythin they said they would, so bring on the next big frantic event!

WHAT a load of absolute bollox it was plain old boring hardstyle shipped in from Italy or some other god forsaken european country, frantic is about hard house

dude just check out our dsi group which has a player with some of our own tracks on and you will find we don't play hardstyle, we are all about power hard house and it will stay in our blood for as long as we are going!

Sorry Will....went to Slammin as i like hardcore as well..
Cor there are some haters out there, that really do just slag off anyones party just casue they had a shit night..
If there partie's are so poor and you dont like them, dont go...or better still, you put your hand in your pocket and spend the best part of over 10 grand putting on a aprty and getting the DJ's who charge very high rates to come play for you..
Then once you've lost all that money you'll understand that putting a party on aint easy, Sound engineers can be a proper night mare, as can venue's, facilities ect..
FRANTIC keep up the good work, and look forward to seeing what you do throughout the next year

I have only read page 1 and it looks like Frantic have done it again. Feel sorry for you lot that had a bad night.

Well it looks like some mixed reactions here - but the thing is that it is so damn easy to just pick up on the negatives and then a message board becomes more like a witch hunt. TBH no event is ever going to run perfectly, that's the nature of the beast when you have so many different factors to take into account.

All I will say is, I live in London and the last 3 hard house events I have been to are Storm in Leicester. They are yet to disspoint, no fault what so ever. Great club, great music, great atmosphere, great night everytime.

Frantic lost it for me after there 10th Birthday!

Well I personally had an amazing time at Frantic on NYE and I got to close the main room as well - how bloody exciting!

After One AWsum Night was held in a warehouse, it made me look forward to Frantic NYE even more - I love the idea of it being more underground and dark, back to basics as such and it makes the atmosphere incredible.

I'm quite sad that some of you didn't enjoy the night as much as you expected - but don't let it put you off, as Frantic are always looking at ways to make their nights better and will always listen to the points that the clubbers make.

Thanks to everyone that stayed till the end to see me play and I'll look forward to seeing you on a dancefloor at the next Frantic event.

Take care and a happy New Year to you all.

Big hugs,

xx

When i wasn't dancing I was freezing my tits off, the toilets were skank, the staff were rude, the coat room fiasco was appaling, the music and lights kept going out, the night finished early and the club was dirty and grimey!

BUT FUCK ME THE MUSIC WAS BANGING! ABSOLUTLY SPOT ON, ESPESSUALLY CALLY, WHAT A WOMAN, SHE KNOWS HOW TO GET THE CROWD MOVING!

Ok it really was basic but isn't that what raves are all about! Taking us back to the time when the dance scene began, illigal wearhouse raves and underground dance music? In my opion it's all becoming too comercial now and NYE was a good reminder of how it used to be! Sure a few things need improving, like basic mannors in some of the staff! But all in all I a fab night!

After all isn't all about the music!

Andy Whitby played a Hard House with a bounce influences

Far from it to be fair, I think Whitby's an immense DJ and sound fella but that was not Hard house!
