This article is about Kompakt warehouse party @ Hearn Street Car Park (Off Curtain Road) in London (UK), Sat 26 May 2007
German’s Kompakt records come to town on 26th May for s special party in the heart of Shoreditch at the infamous Hearne Street Warehouse. based on the Kompakt record store located in Cologne and spawned a distribution company and gave a long overdue trademark and brand to the meanwhile internationally known Cologne minimal sound. Still at the forefront of cutting edge electronic music we have a showcase of some of the best.
Heading up the bill is an extremely rare UK DJ performance from and act synonymous with Kompakt the Wighnomy Brothers. Renowned for their alcohol fuelled craziness behind the decks this duo add much needed flair and unique mixing talent, personality and party ethic to the German sound. Their UK performances are rare and few between so this oppertunity to catch them in London should not be missed. Check out one of their mixes at by clicking here
Alongside this duo will be DJ Koze. A true jack of all trades - DJ Koze, AKA Adolf Noise, is a German hip hop DJ champion, part of the eccentric International Pony (Skint) group as well as putting out a whole plethora of glitchy & minimal yet quirky singles and remixes on Kompakt. Again Koze's performances are as rare as the Wighnomy Brothers, and for all those present at Michael Mayer’s Stink night for this mans set, will testify his unique talentand mixing ability. Completing the line up is Oxia and not forgetting. Making a name with one of last Summers biggest tunes there is much more to the man than his production as his driving bass and melodic breakdowns have been smashing dancefloors across Europe! Zombies Ate My Brain resident Shane Watcha warms up what will undoubtedly be a legendary one off warehouse event. See you at the party.
