As we look back at what can be considered as Minimar’s successful launch to the industry, we look forward to what ups and downs 2007 has to bring. 2007 will see Minimar host a series of events throughout the year to kicking off royally in January with the launch of Minimar @ Bar 54, and then on Friday 9th February at our London home Heaven. Our last party with Tommy Four Seven witnessed over 1500 pass through the Heaven doors, the most attended event in Minimar history. This followed the previous Minimar nights with Micky Slim, Paul Thomas, Richard Dinsdale and resident Tania von Pear, another two complete and utter roadblock. We expect nothing different in 2007…
For 9th February, Minimar showcases the very best in London talent with, Tania von Pear, Clint Lee, Gepy, Lovefish and the hugely talented Shane Watcha. Watcha has had an incredible 2006 with his productions and club nights receiving critical acclaim from music journalists and music fans alike. Shane has created his own blend of tribal “Filthy” bass coupled with up-tempo rhythms that have captured dance floors across the capital. Always versatile and focused on the party his electro sets have a tougher edge while his lighter side has seen him take accapellas sampled over uplifting filthy beats!. These have helped to cement Shane’s reputation as one of world’s most talented up-and-coming DJs and producers and we’re delighted that he’s taken time out of his busy schedule to come and play Minimar.
Taking over the second room , we've roped in the Glitch boys Gepy and Filthy crew regular Clint Lee, who are going head-to-head LIVE firing the deepest, wonkiest sounds at each other that'll keep your head twitching and your legs freaking.
With a healthy mix of the best talent around the country, this event embodies what house music is all about. The DJ’s will be playing a choice selection of lush, melodic techno, pumpin electro and minimal house that will keep you moving till dawn. Expect the unexpected as this night does exactly what it says on the tin. Minimar are gonna take it filth as you like.
With residences now held at Heaven, Bar 54 and Polka in London, Minimar will be embarking on a European tour spreading its blend of house, techno, electro and minimal to the countries of Germany, Spain, Italy and a weekly gig in Ibiza. With its already huge up for it cosmopolitan crowd, Minimar is take the European and UK dance scene to another level.
