Immaculate Touch have definitely stamped their place amongst London’ crème de le crème of nights that ooze quality. Along with their nights around London and their residencies in Kos, Marbella and not forgetting their roadblock weekly nights @ Hush in Ibiza this summer. Tonight is no exception. With Toolroom’s Ed Kane, Cadence, Mark Eldridge, Jon Russell, and 1st time performance at IT DJ Farina all headlining proceedings for IT’ Golf Pro’s & Tennis Ho’s @ Herbal. The anticipation of this night has had us jumping round all day like Tigger on Prozac.

After spending the entire afternoon in Regents Park supping on warm beer and cider and playing a couple of wobbly games of rounder’s on what was officially the hottest day of our typically British summer. I head on home get into my clobber and head on down to Shoreditch for a round of 9 hole pub golf.

After supping down a few rather precarious drink concoctions, a sobering 15 min wait in the queue and a quick rub down from the polite Door Staff we head on in. My first port of call is to get another pint down my Swede and then to check out this so called small but intimate venue.

On entry you walk down a very narrow corridor, at the end of the corridor you enter a dark and dare i say it intimate room. To my right is a large bar and to my left is a fully equipped DJ booth where Jon Russell and Phil Devine are rinsing out some vocal electro house. I headed upstairs to the funk. Walking in I am greeted by a mass of swanky and fancy dressed party makers in their infancy of a party frenzy. Around the corner of there is a cosy seating area that has a load of comfortable seating and tables.

The dance floor is getting fuller by the minute and the funky sexy revellers lapping up the tunage being delivered by James Mac. I drag myself away to go outside for a cigarette. Much to my amazement there is an absolutely huge decked area out to the side of the venue. A sort of a roof terrace that has enough room to hold a good 100+ people unlike the many venues across London where your cramped up in a snotty little alleyway or shepherded outside like sheep with the likely hood of no re entry unless you pay again.

Back upstairs, up on the dec’s is Mark Eldridge dropping a mix of house classics and funky electro that the crowd seem to be lapping it up. Itching to get up was Shiloh who was there to perform his new tune Passion Touch. To be fare who could blame him the IT crowd were in a complete frenzy by the highlights of the evening and the best was still yet to come. Mark was dropping some upfront baselines mixed with the occasional vocal lead anthem such as Red Carpets’ “Alright” and “So Many Times”. Shiloh had his mic in hand and Mark mixed in his track perfectly and Shiloh soon made his presence known, walking around the club greeting people whilst belting out his vocals. After “Passion Touch” Mark drops the 2004 Ibiza classic “Can You Feel It”. Its a slightly slower track to the previous that seems to bring the atmosphere down a couple of notches. But Mark manages to bring the crowd back up by dropping Soul Centrals classic “Strings Of Life”.

I head down Stairs and Jon Russell has passed the baton over to Egg resident and Toolroom’ new kid on the block Ed Kane. His deep bumpy tech house is going down a storm and there is an array of fancy dressed clubbers bouncing around not really caring about their appearance’ as they are in the same state as the walls and ceiling... dripping. Ahh neh bother, you gotta get up to get down and Immaculate Touch certainly helped us do exactly that we leave feeling completely satisfied. Personally though, Immaculate Touch moved here three months ago and the move seems to be paying off. Herbal is a very good little venue in a very vibrant area and really does create the feel of intimacy, the regulars know how to party and with that an electrified vibe is created in both rooms. Its smoker friendly and drinks are not that expensive what more could I ask for?
