He gets his name from a film title that he saw when shopping with his friend for vintage 16mm films.

Didn't he get his name from a video in a porn shop

According to an interview I just read

"He adopted his artist name after a friend took him shopping for vintage 16mm and Super 8 films and he spotted a skin flick on a thrift store shelf. The title was Meat Katie. “They’re two words that shouldn’t really go together,” he says. “It just jumped out at me, so I nicked the name. I went back, and the film was gone. I never actually bought the film. I didn’t know things would go so well.”"
