Hidden's 1st Birthday preview with the Red Room DJs

This article is about Hidden's 1st Birthday @ Hidden in London (UK), Thu 02 Nov 2006

Hidden has undoubtedly been one of the big success stories in London’s clubbing scene over the past year. Since opening in October 2005, it has served up one of the most diverse, high quality schedules of club nights in the capital. From hard dance to electro to fetish parties to eclectic indoor mini-festivals, Hidden has seen it all. Their big bad 1st birthday bash is taking place on Thursday 2nd November and they want all YOU lot to come and join in their big FREE house, breaks and electro celebrations! We cornered the house & electro DJs playing on the night to get a brief bit of banter from them. Oh and don’t forget to email your name to chloe@hiddenclub.co.uk to secure yourself FREE entry!

Which one track has been your biggest anthem from when you've played at Hidden?

Dirty Jay: I think it would have to be a ‘Ghost From The Past’ by Project Massive. It always goes off big time.

David Minns: Laurent Garnier – The Man With The Red Face.

Liam D: I would probably have to say….in the old skool room…Energy 52 “Café Del Mar”. Even though I’m known for playing dirty house it just lifted the roof off!

Jack Michaels: The one that always does it for me at Hidden at the moment is Cirez-D's ‘Mouseville’s Theme’. Everytime I drop this it kicks off in there!

Tania von Pear: Biggest track has to be the electrotastic remake of Jaydee’s “Plastic Dreams” from man of the moment Micky Slim – been busting it for a while and it works everytime…dancefloor destruction!

What's your fondest memory from time spent at the club over the past year?

Dirty Jay: I have got so many fond memories and I always have such a wicked night at Hidden but I think my most memorable has to be the first Nu-Religion. The atmosphere was wicked and everyone was having such a good night…I just didn’t want the night to end.

David Minns: Read The Crowd’s AfterParty for our 2nd Birthday in January. It really was quite magical with us all getting the ‘Believe’ doubledecker to the club and having control of the decks so all the residents could then play again. Absolutely loved it.

Liam D: Our launch party – selling out the club with over a week to go, sending waves through the industry.

Jack Michaels: I was playing there last year for Summit vs 123 - that was the most fun I’ve ever had DJ-ing....wicked and bad.

Tania von Pear: A very very drunken and debauched night when I was djing…left the drunkness til after my set but there was much drinking and dancing around til the end of the night. Then we ended up at a mate’s house at god knows what time in the morning, then gatecrashed another afterhours club but left after twenty minutes cos it wasn’t as good as Hidden had been! Hangover hell the next day but worth the effort!

Why should we fire off work on Friday and get down at Hidden?

Dirty Jay: What more of an excuse do you need than a shit hot free party at one of the best venues in London at the moment??

David Minns: Because Industry parties are the best; a good time for networking, good music and a great rave up! You can’t go wrong, make this Thursday your Friday and have a well deserved long weekend. You know it makes sense. :o)

Liam D: The atmosphere that Hidden generates is second to none – and being that it’s a special occasion it’s going to be even better than usual!

Jack Michaels: ‘cause the party’s gonna kick off big style!

Tania von Pear: Because everyone I know is gonna be there and they are all crazy party animals and it’s gonna go off like a NASA rocket!
