THANKS FLAVA, How much was raised?
Brilliant night,

Just wanted to say thanks to Flava, Contagious Clothing, the gorgeous Flava girls, and anyone else who made this night happen :-) (Shout out to my Mom whilst I'm here!) Lovely that you guys set out to raise money for Cancer Research and Air Ambulance projects, really thoughtful.

Any idea how much was raised on the night?

THANKS!

Shame the last one was cancelled how will she afford the tummy tuck now??

I think the money would be better spent on a face-lift, as she only takes Ket and doesn't actually eat*...

*although I cannot prove this, so I am willing to step down should someone challenge me on this point ;)

sorry it has taken so long to post .
right from the start we at flavaUK wanted to put a night on for all clubbers to remember whilst doing good by raising money for charity , we wanted the best in entertainment for this event but obviously costs did occur like any event . from the begining our chosen charity was the air ambulance charity although contagious clubwear decided to come in on the event so it was to become flava aid 1 in association with contagious clubwear where there chosen charity was cancer research , underneath is a detailed view of costings on the night , although i must stress i have been advised not to disclose detailed costs regarding djs and dancers as this is confidential to the djs/dancers themselves .

NOTE: To date no money has been received from the club regarding the “balloons”
(it was agreed with club hidden that they would donate half of the money made from balloons to cancer research to a guess of around £1200
TOTAL COST TO FLAVA TO RUN THE EVENT - £ 8002

DONATION TO BE MADE TO AIR-AMBULANCE FROM OUR POCKETS £600

so as you can now see this event did run at a loss and we had to pay the charity out of our own pockets , however after a telephone conversation with the owners of contagious clubwear with our patner at the time miles mulligan it was suggested that they should pay some money to cancer research as it was there chosen charity for the event as they hosted the event with us , this was agreed between miles and gordan and if you require more information on this please contact contagious themselves .
although i must stress miles did decide after flava aid that he no longer wanted to continue with the brand as he lived in ireland and the event run at a loss
we and all who attended did enjoy the night so this did not stop us from organising another charity night bringing another partner in to join us with our next event flava aid 2
we intended to learn from our mistakes and went for a bigger venue with a cappacity of 2000 people (instead of a 500 capacity at club hidden where flava aid was held) this would of meant more money going to charity
you will see from the costings everything we have done for flava aid , we have done for nothing , myself ,andy and miles have never recieved a penny but it wasnt that - that mattered , it was the love for something that we believed in and of course to help others
after enclosing this information i do hope that peoples minds will be at rest and people will see us for who and what we really are , which is kind hearted , considerate genuine ppl who love clubbing , ok we are not angels and never stated we was , nor never wish to be , but this has caused the upset of many people myself included as this as got way out of hand

proof of certificate recieved from air ambulance shown below

i must also state that the decor we hired from areo 51 was stole from club hidden due to a late pick up from them and not being covered by insurance we had to pay areo 51 £1200 pounds

i have now done what people have asked , and hope this has given peace of mind to those who are genuinly concerned , if it is that you are still unsure of this or are in any doubt then please contact your local authorities as we have all paperwork and proof here with individual detailed costs for flava aid 1

thanks
lou
