Well can you believe it another fantastic Poison event has come and gone again. It feels like time stands still between events and when they come it’s gone in a flash. Last Saturday was no different I was in side the club when the when the first song in the blue room started and from first beat my legs started tapping to the beat and they only stopped moving at the end. Truly one of the most atmospheric Poison/Republic events that I have been too.



As to be expected from any Poison event now the crowd was totally geared for a party. I feel privileged to get to see it from both sides of the turntables, when your on the floor jamming away and everyone around you is jamming just as hard as you, you can’t help but smile. When you behind the decks mixing and the punters are all in front of the box jumping and screaming, it really motivates you to mix with all your heart and just get lost in the choons.

All the dj’s did exceptionally well from what I heard and from general chitter chatter with mates in the club. The mix between the republic artists and the poison dj’s really worked well. There was excellent progression throughout the hole night, you could feel it as you went into each room (well that’s if your like me and like to get a taste of all the rooms possible lol)



A few special mentions to A + E Project thought you were great I only heard about half your set but from what I heard was wicked. Aswell as We R 1 you guys are really starting to come into your own, a wicked unique sound. Both the blue room and the red were rocking all night long, which has become something of a standard now with the likes of Funky Paul, Tomasuchy, swift and Stefan Ro at the controls of the mixer. Hats off to all you guys had me and everyone one else jumping from start to finish.



On to the purple room which was showcasing music for the harder generation. It was nice to see the return of Ricardo, I have not seen him play since the poisons days at Fire. Sygnity and Existence did fantastic. Both of them had similar styles of choons, really Phat progressive trance they had the dance floor grooving the whole time. R2 played some Phat hard psy trance I was digging that too. Myself & X-Ray (back to basic’s Special) really enjoyed playing with you mate, and the crowd seem to enjoy the bounce that we brought to the night . And last most certainly not least my boy Hoovagroova. He did exceptionally well first time in the hard room and doing the grave yard set hats off mate you did awesome set.


The next Poison event will be @ Hidden on the 10th of May. We Hope to see you all down again for some more Poison madness.

The party was great.
The only thing which is bothering me is the name of the very first song that was played in the trance room. Was anyone else in there when that tune got played ? I have to get the title of it .

It was difficult to start getting the momentum to take pictures due to the new atmosphere that Poison brought, but, I only hope that this is the start of something ongowing as I cannot wait to get the pictures from the next night in May.

TGPromotions.com would like to thank the guys at Poison for the kind invite to come and cover this event. I think I speak for all of us when I say we had a good time. Coming up at the last minute was a bit of a rush, but we skipped from one event to another to help out with the PR of this great event @ Hidden. With a variety of music, it was certainly a good event, with an awesome atmosphere. This event certainly proved that music is the international language, with all nationalities present having a great time together under one roof.
