I love Hidden. It’s such a wicked venue and the last time I was there was a few years ago and I had a top night so it was nice to be going back. And this time for some decent techno action!

I made the mistake of stopping off in the pub opposite waiting for the doors to open so I wouldn’t have to freeze my butt off outside. But the music in the pub was so awful, the minute I saw the doors to Hidden open I rushed out so quick I might as well have smashed through the window I was that desperate to get out and get in.

It’s been ages since I went to a club from the start, and even longer since I stayed until the end so I wondered if the music would be so good that I wouldn’t want to leave. Thankfully, I wasn’t at all disappointed!

Music started off well, by the time Steve Strawberry came on the place was rocking – he always manages to get the crowd going.

I hadn’t heard of Speedy J before, from now on I will definitely be looking out for him more often ‘cos his set was wicked. He picked up the pace nicely from Steve and from then on the night was just flying past and really havin’ it.

I absolutely love Ben Sims, so by the time he came on I was shaking my butt on one of the raised stage bits and having an awesome time. Ben’s set at Closer was fabbo and even though my legs were killing me I couldn’t stop and wouldn’t stop dancing. If the night had gone on any longer and he had gone into some crazy schranz action I think I would have fallen off the stage, broken my neck and ended up in techno heaven.

Great crowd at Closer, wicked/fun vibe and thanks for a much needed decent techno night that London is so short of. Here’s looking forward to loads more!
