Old Skool House or Old Skool Hardcore...You decide?
I need some advise please....

I could play either house or hardcore at this event but want to go with what the people really want to hear!

Would appreciate all your comments as I want to play what you all want to hear!

Still cant believe this line-up is all for a fiver.....Hold Tight Hidden!

Have you heard of Mc Wicked Labby? He has his own style as they all do I suppose, but this particular MC doesnt just spit aload of rhythm's at you, he is more of a Compare (Did I spell that right?)

Well I have the pleasure of him MC-ing for me here, I have also noticed that in this room the years are from 88-98.....I dont know of much hardcore that was around in 88/89...hence me thinking about the Housey route, but I do appreciate where your coming from.

Are you going to be there Labby?

Tis a tuff one, even i dont know of much hardcore that was out in 88/89, if you was to say 88/90 then i would of said mix both, because the hardcore back then was about the same speed as some of the house..

This dilema's easy. I'd say most Dj's on ther night will be playing hardcore so your gonna here a lot of tunes beein played 2 or 3 times on the night. To stand out from the rest i would drop some up-tempo 1989-1991.

Peace

And can you gurantee that they do Jinx-C? In my experience the majority of old-skool do's consist of hardcore. But hey, what do i know ;^D

Nothing wrong with oldskool hardcore, personally i think the older the hardcore the better, jungle techno kicks arse too.

no Vera not this time im playing elsewhere that night as usual, thats the trouble with being a DJ you rarely get to go other gigs unless they are close to ones you are playing at.

I will be honest i havent really heard an MC since 1993 apart from on radio as i moved to the house scene so i am not familiar with many anymore x
