Freeformation loves DJ Gammer because he is a trick of all trades. He knows how to fire tracks at a crowd faster then you can double drop and layers them in magical ways! What does DJ Gammer love about Freeformation?

Freeformation, loves absolutely anything you throw at them. I was anxious the first few times I played as the event has a very underground following and im one of those more 'obvious' djs but everytime Ive played there I have had a blast!

And so have we! Not content with playing one set – we are blessed with hosting a second MC free return to freeform set from you in our Jam zone. More recently we have heard some more crossover tracks like ‘Rippin’ come out of your studio. Is this more underground style something we can expect to hear more of?

Rippin was a real experimental track, I wanted to try something that didnt really on an off bass but still had alot of presence and impact throughout, this is a really hard feat to do in hardcore because of the speed but i was really pleased with how it came out. Rest assured, there was a hell of a lot more to nailing it than just 'putting a bassline in there'. The good thing was though like you say, this works well as a cross over track, as it isnt really any style, it could be played by any dj. I have been working on a few more bits like this which im sure will be making appearances in my set soon

I'm eager to hear them! All the Freeformation team rave crew are very excited to hear this extra special set. Can you give us any clues as to what expect? Are you debuting anything there?

Well as I stated in Core i took a step back from the underground side of the scene for various reasons but Ive wanted a reason to have a go at some more 'different' stuff for a while. This would be a great oppurtunity.

The best one I'd say!

I'll be straight up now and say that the set will consist mostly of my old favourites through out the years, but ill definately be showcasing a few new songs. One song in particular (which ive had countless emails and pms about) will finally getting finished after being just a clip featured on my myspace when it first launched

It will be cool to hear what you select. Being versatile must be difficult at times? How do you know when to take your set into different directions? Do you play differently at the big main room events like Slamming Vinyl to how you play at smaller club nights around the country?

I wouldnt say im that versatile DJ wise, as I said earlier i am well aware that tune wise I play similar to alot of other djs. So the way I try and make my sets different from others is by 1. having lots of bootlegs and random edits and 2. Mixing tunes in a different way, dropping basslines in unexpected basslines, which some people like, and admitedly some dont.
At bigger events I try to showcase newer material, where as at smaller clubs I try and go a bit more obvious to compliment the usually intense small room atmosphere (something I am a big fan of)

There's nothing better then a rockin' small club IMO also. The last year has seen you team perfectly with Whizzkid on the mic. Your interaction is awesome – do you work out tricks in advance or is it all off the cuff?

Alot of it is of the cuff, like the seemingly popular 'beat box and scratch-off' at htid 26 last january. Somethings are usually worked out in advance but mostly off the cuff, me and gordon just seem to under stand what each other does

This will be Whizzkids very first Freeformation. If you had to explain to him what to expect in a sentence what would that sentence be?

Nice! You’ve been a resident for us since your very first set for Freeformation. What prompted you to ask for a residency?

Obviously the amazing atmosphere and the fact that you allow me to try different things

Finally – we have an opening in the team rave play for May 23rd? Would you like a part in our amateur dramatics madness?

Haha, you know I would

Muffin Music is on the up and up which is great to see. My N+ remix is going down a treat J Any idea of a release date for the EP?

Its hard to say, ive just arranged the next 3, I have alot of tracks to put out in the future so i guess watch this space

and for anyone whos curious, yes it is all still going on serious sounds

Thanks Mr Gammer.
