After two monster Bank Holidays within weeks, where London City finally flourished and welcomed the good weather, we only have left to say goodbye to May in style!! Summer is upon us our dear sweaty dancers and to celebrate the heat we have this month two hot tops of London’s underground scene: Luke vB and Natalie Coleman. Luke needs no introduction, Mr C’s Superfreq label partner has been rocking the roofs in town for ages, from Alpine and Blonde residencies @ the sorely closed AKA & The End to Superfreq parties in UK, France, Ibiza and beyond. Natalie is a coming up hotspot, running her own night Mooch, she is slowly but firmly moving to bigger scenes. They both will be playing with our Misstake residents and Daniel Brandao, a new friend of the house, till the wee wee hours!
Luke vB
Luke started DJ'ing in 1995 inspired by UK and Chicago house music. In 1997 he launched Armadillo warehouse parties with Tim Red which went on until 2000. From there, he DJ'ed and ran one of the most successful Sunday parties until 2008 at AKA: Blonde! Also, resident for Nude at Ministry of Sound and Space Ibiza in 2006. But that’s not all; Luke has 2 residencies in Moscow since 2001 at Mix club and Solyanka. He’s not sure what kind of music he plays, but could be defined as music with a house soul and techno energy.
Natalie Coleman
Nat's heart rate never dips below 120bpm, fact! As a result, we get someone grabbing life with both hands and wringing it dry. When it comes to music she has a bordering on obsessive ability to recall track names and producers of the tunes she loves, and an astute inbuilt radar for knowing how to put a great set together. She says her style is "bouncy/sexy tech/minimal music" and that's exactly what you get, delivered with an infectious enthusiasm that will never fail to leave you grinning from ear to ear.
Nat is fairly new to this game, but don't let fool you. She’s been watching and meticulously taking notes from the sidelines for years. Now she's graduated, with honours and has already played at Smartie Partie, The Egg and successfully launched her own night Mooch at the Horse&Groom, with fellow geeks, Kate Nunn and Yellowcake. This is her year, so go forth and spread the good news!
