In preparation for his upcoming visit to Silly Sundays on August the 5th, we asked the big dog at Chameleon Muzik to dodge the traffic between the office and studio, where he would find some random questions about life, labels and all things Paul Bingham.
Silly Sundays gets marblelous with Paul Bingham By Silly-Sundays - Mon 09 Jul 2007 - 6 comments
Music : House, Alternative Dance and Techno
This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).
“Little Paul Bingham sat on his tuffet, playing marbles all day. There came a spider, who sat down beside him and frightened poor Bingham away! Away Paul ran, to the end of the land, where down just behind him the spider did side him and caused all the marbles to roll away!” And rolling away from Paul Bingham is not what you will be doing on the 5th August at Silly Sundays when you witness is marblelous showcase of big, dirty and oh so sexy tech-electro beats. Paul has recently arrived in London from homelands South Africa where he dominated the dance scene. Paul was resident at one of South Africa’s most successful and longest running clubs, ESP. For those oblivious to this marblegalactic club known as ESP, it was as Fabric is to the London dance scene. Their confidence in Paul’s naturally born talent to regale the crowds with his paradisiacal beats saw ESP send him to represent them at the 2006 Rotterdam Dance Parade; five hundred thousand people attend this event, shiver me marbles! Paul’s success with ESP never halted there as they commissioned him to mix the first of their “ESP Residents Series” CD released in December 2006. Leaving the legacy of ESP behind he has managed to catapult his marbles in the London production scene by having numerous newly produced tracks released on labels such including Juicy Music. To go along with his infiltration into the UK scene, his tracks have featured on Eric Morillo’s Subliminal Sessions album series and the “Amnesia Ibiza 2007” compilation. His unbelievable musical flair has also been noticed by the likes of top marbles Robbie Rivera, Tony Arzadon, Willie Morales and DJ Inphinity who are slicing up his productions left, right and centre! Come on fellow crazy goers, all of these marble-saints can not be wrong; a spherical storm of superbness will be experienced! Joining Paul for the storm will of course be the most valuable marbles to Silly Sunday’s, resident sunny’s 5050 Crew and AntiSocialSoundSystem who will be shooting marbletastic beats into the holes of your ears to win your feet to the dance floor. Now don’t loose your marbles with excitement but all this rounded fun can be found for free at Silly Sundays on the 5th August 2007, at Inigo 2AM bar, 642 Wandsworth Road, SW8 3JW (On bus routes 77, 77A, 137 and 156 buses from Clapham Junction or Wandsworth Road Station). First marbles will be dropped at 2PM with the last marble standing at 11PM. Remember to send us a shiny for your free shooter: info@silly-sundays.co.uk. £1 shooter 2PM-5PM _________________________________________________________________________
